Hey everyone thanks for sharing. The reviews and photos are awesome. I'm so happy you had such a great experience together. Martine, what were you saying that made her laugh so much? That picture of you two laughing together is so good. I love how everyone in the group could photograph each other's meeting with her lol. So now the play has finished, we can talk about vomit! I didn't want to spoil anything before other people went to see the play, but when I was chatting with Owen and Donna they told me how it was done. The first night I didn't see a thing. The second night... once I knew what to look for, I could blatently see Owen and Donna were connecting and unconnecting Maura to some tubes hidden under the cushions on the sofa! Did anyone get sprayed? I got flower water on my glasses when Maura was chucking the flowers around. I had to wipe them really fast so I didn't miss any more of the play. The first night I went to see it, when Donna throws Maura's bag she managed to do it in such a way that *everything* inside flew all over the stairs and floor behind them. The second night, not a thing fell out so Maura had to pretend to pick up nothing, and then she just crawled off the stage to hide what had happened hehe. Anyone have any other stories? What went wrong with the vomit scene when you guys saw it this weekend? I also heard that the flowers really are freshly baught every morning. x

Can't wait to see the pictures!!!! Please..... I'm working on it, gonna post them on the blog asap. Everyone can see them there Martine, I'm just wondering, did she remember that you (two crazy fans from Europe) had come to see her in North Atlantic last year? Well I asked her if she remembered me and she said 'yeah, you look familiar to me' and then I told her about last year and then she made a joke about the New Yorkers. I'm trying to remember what it was exactly but it's not coming back to me just yet lol. I'll check with the others who heard it. I'll post it in my Maura quotes list later. I can't even tell you how FANTASTIC this photo is! You look like you have been friends for years. (I wish). Martine, you are so lucky to have this!! Cherish it. You both look lovely! I know, it's incredible, I do cherish it, believe me Martine, what were you saying that made her laugh so much? That picture of you two laughing together is so good. Well, in one of those pics, I just gave her my present, chocolate which looked like Belgian Euros. And I said to her, 'I hope you like chocolate' ... and money, and apparently she found that very amusing ;D In the other pic, I think I was telling her about that bunny I'm holding. It was a surprise my hubby had hidden in my suitcase: a bunny wearing a T-shirt with a pic of Maura on it. She thought it was very sweet of him. Of course I asked her to sign it. I'll post a pic of that too. And about the play, I just finished writing something about it on the blog. I'll post it in the God of Carnage thread

some little details I'd like to add ~ another good news ~ Maura has quit smoking! After all her struggles it's such a great achievement and for someone who wishes to keep all the harm away from her it was amazingly good to hear! she has indeed picked up some Dubliner accent! It was quite amusing to hear that ^^ she has complimented us on our English which I found very thoughtful and nice of her ^0^ someone stepped on me while I was taking something out of my bag, so I looked up and saw Maura which confused me a bit, so I said 'sorry' too ^.^ hehe, I was thinking about Lizzie's story ^.^ my personal highlight was that I could say to her 'you are so beautiful' ^.^ because it was the thing I wanted to tell her, since it doesn't only mean her appearance but also her personality and all the millions of sunrays she sheds on the people around her... but in that dress and everything I couldn't help and say 'you're so stunning' ^.^ I agree with Stephen completely, she looks wonderful and I love the length of her hair because you can see more of her lovely face... yeah, pix... please don't post elsewhere... nyaaa... signing my play booklet... lh3.googleusercontent.com/_CfxE6ZRLHjY/TZCqbWLVSrI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/3NkhSCI1_uk/s576/mauracut2.jpgisn't she just adorable?? (I must point out too that the other cast members were incredibly nice and awesome ^0^) lh6.googleusercontent.com/_CfxE6ZRLHjY/TZCqncEMPEI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/ZkfKLtCIIv8/s576/dublindreier%20065.jpg

Thank you all for you experience and all the pictures!! It's so unreal, yet so 'real' because Maura seems so down to earth and like it's normal to meet her, like you're her friend! And that picture of Maura and Martine that Dianne took is really cute!

it reminded me of a press conference, where the flash lights of the camera's constantly go off LOL. haha, not only you, huh? 'You are like paparazzi' she said ^.^ This is my "official" review for God of Carnage if anyone is interested in reading it. It's a pity that they won't take it, but thank you so much for writing it ^0^ I wasn't super-satisfied with the fact that Maura has got Annette to play, she really didn't have a lot to do in my opinion, but she managed to give that character a face! I also thought the same thing about the last minutes of the play, I was so incredibly moved by Donna's tears somehow... This is so funny ^.^ I don't remember about water, but both times we've got some tulip's pieces thrown on us, ouch ^.^ Definitely ^0^ Yeah, I thought some people here would really like to hear that! ^0^ You are very welcome ^.^

Love that photo! So glad you got one of Donna, Maura and Ardal. And thanks for reading my review! I agree that Annette was a bit of a dry character at times. Every story needs that sort of figure and Maura was wonderful, but how funny would she have been playing Veronica?

Actually, there is even Owen on the other side of Suzze, but I didn't dare to post Suzze without her permission, of course, so I cut him out as well ^^
It would have been nice if Donna and Maura had switched characters, for example, indeed ^.^ But I loved Annette being sassy with Michael about the rodent-phobia and such ^0^ Maura was so cute doing that! And I'm still laughing about Ardal looking so miserable after the death of his phone ^0^ Alan was my favourite character altogether, he was the one who cared the least about the facade in my opinion... Anyway, Owen Roe was just marvellous, as you pointed out!

Yeah! She kept cracking me up the way she would randomnly bring up the hamster.
Same here, I absolutely love how Ardal played it. He totally changed my perception of him as an actor.
*nod* He is phenomenal. Such a vibrant performer. I had seen him in a bunch of things on TV before but this was the first time I sat up and really paid attention to him. I just emailed him using the address on his official website in order to tell him how much I enjoyed the play and his performance. Hopefully it gets to him.

Yep, that good-looking man with the suit was no Father Dougal ^0^ I will also write an e-mail to Owen maybe, I ran out of superlatives and adjectives on Saturday ^.^ Oh and I've found an interview of Donna who said a few things about the play that I've found very interesting... she was asked exactly the questions I was thinking about ~ entertainment.ie/Other/feature/Interview-Donna-Dent-|-God-of-Carnage/6/1095.htm
