Well, its all also complicated by the fact that I am hearing impaired so seats in the 'way back' wouldn't work for me. I HAVE sent an email asking about the auditorium and what the sound is like there. We'll see. Something in me wants to plop my almost 16 year old daughter in the car for a girly road trip. LOL

It really was too much to hope Maura would make Dublin her permanent theatrical home, huh?

Got the playbook in the mail yesterday and read the entire thing in less than 40 minutes. Maura's monologue covered maybe 12 pages. Tense and emotional stuff. I could just SEE her doing it so I am sure she will have some fun with it. But the play is more of a Webber showcase. I am not going to break my bank account to go see it. Makes me sad.....

I want to take a look at it too, but it's kinda expensive for 96 pages... maybe I'll get a second-hand one later ^.^ is anybody from our US-members going at all?? do you all live so far away? ^.^

Haha of course, I move to LA and Maura starts doing everything on the east coast - just my luck! I can't wait to hear more about this play though! Good for her.

I can't believe that this is meant to be a Webber showcase. After all, it's a two-hander and they would not have hired Maura, who is hardly a two-bit unknown actor for the part, if her role was so subordinate. And nor would she have accepted such a role. It sounds to me as if she will really get a chance to shine in this. Also, as it's part of a wider theater festival, there may be good opportunities to meet the cast/her.

Wish I could come again, would love to spend some more time with you. New York was way too short B.t.w. Monica Monroe from Twitter is going too. I guess by Weber shwocase, I meant that he will be on stage longer. Maura's monologue packs a serious emotional punch and she WILL shine. Definitely....but 80 minutes with her part just 12 pages of dialogue??? I am glad she is doing it. More theater people will be likely to see her work there...AND the crowd she draws.

Seems to me Maura wants to make a name in Theatre too. I just hope I get a chance to see her one day.
