MJF was fantastic on the show, but I think his Emmy was more to do with him being a perennial favourite among award voters, even before people knew about his Parkinson's.

I know how the Daytime Emmys work, but I'm clueless about the Primetime Emmys. Would Maura have to submit this episode herself or would it sort of be out of her hands, with the network choosing to submit her? Anyone know?

I think it is in the hands of FX and the RM producers, as for submission of the episodes, I don't know how it works for guest stars. If voters can see the entire arch or if one episode gets picked. It would help Maura if voters see the entire storyline because if one episode gets submitted she is really only in about 3 scenes max in every RM episode.

Will we have more episodes or it was the last one?

Will we have more episodes or it was the last one? I don't know for sure in how many episodes she was gonna appear, but it looks to me like this could have been the last one. Like Tara said, who knows, she might return in the very last one ?

I remember Peter Tolan saying something about having her back for 4 episodes, but that was a long time ago, even before she officially dropped out of Parenthood. After the way this episode ended, it felt like that was pretty much the conclusion of her story. But hopefully we get lucky and she pops up again. Since we don't know for sure if she's coming back, I'll probably just put up a Season 7 general discussion thread for anybody who wants to discuss the rest of the episodes.

Yeah this felt to me like the end of her arc. But I guess she could have filmed another scene or two that they're saving for the finale?
