Kaye, It's kinda funny, I am not in a hurry to see a LUBY reunion! Your story takes time, it's slow and mysterious, and I want to know more about this Abby who is so sweet with her kids, but also with the man in her life! As you said: "A PART OF HER LOVED HIM". I also need to know more about this man who is obviously a decent guy and why they have been together for more than 6 years. All these questions hook me to your fic, and I wouldn't like to rush things ! This mysterious atmosphere is unique and really fascinating! What happened to these 4 people ( 2 kids, and 2 parents apparently!) I am relly immersed in your story, Kaye! Karma for you asap, I'm an insomniac, I have put you on my list, baby! THANK YOU FOR THESE ORIGINAL LINES!

I just wrote this righht now, so it might not be great. Okay I decided that I wanted to try this story from different people’s perspective cause usually it always either Abby or Luka’s. This first part is from Sam’s.
Her face felt hot and fragile as she laid a cool palm against her left cheek. The warm air outside didn’t help much as she walked down Chicago’s dark streets, the pavement was littered with gum and soda cans. The occasional wind blew a can into the street and it rolled down into a drain that was already choked with other trash from the city. She let out a sigh of relief as she turned the corner and was out of sight from their apartment building. It was times like these that she was happy that hadn’t had any children. But then again she couldn’t help but think that if they had things we be different. She looked up at the sky and leaned against a brick wall next to a pizza parlor. Alex was in college and on his way to becoming a doctor. He’d be a great doctor and she was incredibly proud of him. But so far he was the only really good thing was in her life. She continued to walk around the city and shook her head slightly. Things between her and Luka were over, they had been for a while. But she was afraid of being alone. Although she knew that he didn’t love her or maybe a part of him did. But she was being stupid for staying with him. Or maybe she was being selfish, by not wanting to let him go. But she would have to let him go sooner or later. The feeling that coiled in her stomach told her that it would much sooner than she wanted it to be. _________________________________________________________
Wow, the feelings that returned and that confronted her were amazing. So many memories were left behind here. She could almost hear the laughter, the sobs, the bad humor jokes that she had left behind. She bit her lip slightly as the cab passed the streets that she had walked by so many times. They had been a routine in her life, the weekly trip to the market where she would to pretend to actually shop for healthy things, the lazy walking to county when she didn’t feel like working, the runs to county when she was late for work. She audibly let out a breathe that she had been purposely holding in. “You okay?” Derek asked looking over searching her expression for an answer. “Yeah, just,” she paused and smiled slightly, “just memories.”
He smiled back slightly and returned his eyes to the road.
“ You lived here mommy?” Lacey squealed from the backseat with her eyes glued to the window looking at everything that she was able to.
“Yeah.” She answered as she looked back at Lacey who was absorbed in her surroundings and at Graham who was happily asleep.
“Awesome.”
She was in the same city as him. But Chicago was big, so the chances of running into him where small. Right? But then again why should she be scared, he had left her and she was doing great. So if she was in Chicago why shouldn’t she go visit her friends. The rational part of her told her that she was being stupid and that she should just hide until they left. But the her head told her that she needed to be tough. That she had to show him what he could’ve had with her, what his life could’ve been like. She wouldn’t wait until she bumped into him, she’d go right ahead and go see her friends and if she saw him, well… she’d wait until then. By the time they reached the hotel she was anxious, terrified, but also hopeful. She wasn’t sure why.
Sorry for spelling errors I can only type with one hand right now my other wrist is broken.
