Here's a new update for you. I apologise for the wait, but you can hardly not take a break when you've just found out that you got 7A*s and 4As on your GCSEs can you! Charlotte
They spent the rest of the afternoon together: kissing, hugging, and watching films, whatever they wanted to do. However, eventually it got late, and they both had to go to work the next morning. Neither of them wanted to leave the other, but they knew that if they stayed together they probably wouldn’t be able to resist each other, and things may progress too fast.
“I think that it’s probably about time that I went home,” Said Luka, pulling away from Abby, “I’m on at seven in the morning, and it’s almost eleven now.”
“I’m on at seven too, and I’m feeling tired, so you’re probably right,” Abby replied,
“Well I’ll see you tomorrow then,” He said, turning round to capture her lips in one last kiss, before opening the door.
“Bye,” Whispered Abby as he pulled away and left the apartment.
He walked down the landing, aware that she was still watching him, and this didn’t bother him. No, he actually enjoyed the feelings that he was having knowing that she hadn’t just closed the door after he left. He loved that she actually wanted to watch him, just as he liked watching her.
She closed the door after watching him walk down the landing until he turned the corner. There was a smile on her face that hadn’t been there for a long time; she couldn’t remember the last time she had felt so happy. She looked over at her kitchen counter, something catching her eye. She wandered over and picked the object up. She laughed, knowing that he would have to come back!
He got out to his car, and felt around in his coat pockets for his keys, but couldn’t find them. He laughed, realising that he had got caught in the moment, and must have left them on Abby’s kitchen counter. ‘I’m such an idiot,’ He thought to himself, ‘I’d forget my head if it wasn’t screwed on properly!’ He re-entered the building, and made his way back to Abby’s apartment.
She stood behind here apartment door, his keys in her hand, her other hand on the lock, waiting for him to return.
He quickly made his way up the stairs, since the lift was occupied, and was soon stood back outside her door; he raised his hand and knocked.
She opened the door just as he knocked, and found herself facing him. He was slightly out of breath, and she guessed that he had just had to climb the four flights of stairs up to her second storey apartment. She held out his keys, which he took and placed safely inside his coat pocket.
Just as he was about to turn and leave again, she grabbed his wrist, gently yet firmly, and pulled him back to her, and he came without hesitation. He knew what she wanted, and bent down to kiss her, one last time since he was still intending on leaving.
She had other ideas though, and caught him off guard, kissing him hard whilst pulling him back inside with her. She shut the door to prevent anybody from looking in, meaning any of their work colleagues who they were trying to keep this from. She placed her hands on his coat, and he looked at her quizzically. She could tell that he was going to say something, so she put her finger over his lips, and told him:
“I don’t want you to go,”
Someone’s Watching Over Me – Hilary Duff
Found myself today
Oh, I found myself and ran away
But something pulled me back
A voice of reason I forgot, I had
All I know is your not here to say
What you always used to say
But it’s written in the sky tonight
He didn’t know what to say after this, he was stunned, and unsure of what exactly was going on. He felt her slide her hands underneath his coat and slip it off of his shoulders before he was pulled into an embrace as she held him close and buried her face into his chest.
She felt more secure when she was being held by him, and so was relieved to feel him wrap his arms around her tightly. She whispered into his chest:
“Please don’t leave me again,”
He only just heard her words because they were spoken so quietly. He knew that there was a deeper meaning to her statement; she was scared that he would walk away from him like he had done all of those years before. He felt that he had to reassure her, so he said:
“I won’t, I don’t think that I could possibly bear to leave you again Abby,”
So I won’t give up,
No I won’t break down,
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
Someone’s watching over me
She knew that he was being sincere, and that his words were true; she didn’t even have to look him in the eyes to know, she knew him so well. She pulled away from him slightly, and looked him in the eyes, and she saw all of the love that was present, and her fears began to fade away. She knew that he would be there for her, and wouldn’t just abandon her to disappear off to Africa like Carter had done.
As he looked her in the eyes, he knew that she believed him, and trusted that everything would be ok. He smiled at her, and she returned it.
I’ve seen that ray of light
And it’s shining on my destiny
Shining all the time, and I won’t be afraid
To follow everywhere it’s taking me
All I know is yesterday is gone
And right now I belong
To this moment, to my dreams
She rose up onto her toes and kissed him, savouring the moment, not wanting it to end. She pulled back and reached for his hand, entwining his fingers with hers. She pulled on it slightly, and slowly led him into her bedroom.
So I won’t give up,
No I won’t break down,
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
Someone’s watching over me
“Will you lie with me please?” She asked him quietly,
“If you want me to,” He replied,
“Thank you,” She said gratefully, knowing that he would watch over her,
It doesn’t matter what people say
And it doesn’t matter how long it takes
Believe in yourself and you’ll fly high
It only matters how true you are
Be true to yourself and follow your heart
She changed into her pyjamas and slipped into her bed, and he followed her. She snuggled close to him, he wrapped his arms around her, and they fell asleep snuggled in each other’s embrace for the second night running.
So I won’t give up,
No I won’t break down,
Sooner than it seems life turns around
And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
That I won’t give up,
And no I won’t break down,
Sooner than it seems, life turns around
And I will be strong even if it all goes wrong
When I’m standing in the dark I’ll still believe
That someone’s watching over
Someone’s watching over
Someone’s watching over me
