Ok babes! I'll update!
They climbed into Luka’s car and he started the engine, carefully reversing out of the tight car park space. Abby tugged at her seatbelt. It was jammed. Oh how embarrassing. Come on work. Luka began to drive out of the car park when he spotted her difficulty. He stopped the car and leaned over to her. Abby took a deep breath in. He was so close. Oh my god. I can feel him against me. He plugged her seatbelt in but remained close to her. She slowly leaned in closer to towards him, oh my god I’m going to kiss Luka. Suddenly, a beep went off behind him and Luka jumped back. Waving his hand to apologise and began to drive. Abby breathed out. So close. So close. That’s not fair! Couldn’t that guy have just waited 10 seconds? Luka looks kind of flustered; he’s not the only one. I mean we haven’t kissed in like 3 years! We haven’t done anything like that in three whole years. Actually, that’s a lie. We have gotten to know each other so much better these past years. In fact, I reckon he knows me better than anyone else. He probably knows me better than I do.
That couldn’t have been closer. I almost kissed Abby. For the first time in so long. I so wanted to as well. Life can be so unfair. She looks kind of embarrassed now and I definitely feel embarrassed. I mean, we almost kissed. Kissed. Ok neither one of us has said anything in a while. Just start up a conversation about an unrelated topic.
“So do you know where we are staying?” Luka asks looking over at Abby. How very lame! She looks at me.
“Um, a hotel I think. Kerry says it’s quite nice, you know, it has a bar; pool table and I think it might even have a swimming pool. Luxury! The rooms are fairly average I think but I mean we aren’t there very long so…” Abby says trailing off. Swimming. Abby in a swimming costume. Oh no! Think of something else. Shit Luka. Ok Pratt in a swimming costume. Ok there we are. Few!
“That doesn’t sound too bad then. I think it’s only a morning course also. I think it starts at 8 and finishes at 12 everyday. So we have the afternoon off!” Luka says smiling. Ok, there we go. Conversation.
“Yeah, it’ll be good to have the afternoons off to relax! Doesn’t sound to bad actually.” Abby says watching Luka concentrating on the road. The next couple of hours flew by with the conversation and flirty talk flowing freely. They had never gotten on so well before. It was a new and wonderful experience.
They arrived outside and met up with the others. They all left their luggage in the lobby and people took up their luggage for them as they all headed towards the bar for refreshments. Luka surprisingly didn’t order alcohol for himself. Why hasn’t Luka ordered alcohol? He always has a drink to cool down. How odd. He still looks so odd and surprisingly I am having a good time with everyone around this rather crowded table. Luka is opposite me and Neela is next to me.
“What did you guys do on the trip down then? We played eye spy! Such a thrill!” Neela laughed and looked at Luka for a response. Well we flirted a lot but he wont say that.
“Listened to the radio. Chatted. You know, all the usual things you do in a car,” Luka said and Abby smiled at him. Gosh, in this light he looks just gorgeous. Black really suits him.
“Well, I think I’m going to head off to bed!” Pratt said as it was getting late.
“Us too!” said Kerry and Neela as they reached for their bags looking at Luka and Abby to see if they were joining them. They stood in front of them. Neither of them showing any signs of moving anywhere.
“I might just have one more glass of juice,” Abby said Luka please say you’ll stay too.
“Me too,” Luka said and reached for his wallet. Neela smiled at Abby. Shut up Neela!
They all walked out of the bar leaving just Luka and Abby on there own.
“Same again?” Luka asked. Abby nodded.
“Just going to go to the bathroom,” she said and reached for her bag. She strutted off to the bathroom and began to apply some lipgloss. The door opened. It was Neela.
“You devil you!” Neela said laughing as Abby put her lipstick back.
“What?” she said innocently, that damn girl knows me too well!
“You and Luka eh!” she said, “Flirt, flirt, flirt, flirt, flirt! Well, I’d better leave you to it. Have fun!” she said laughing before winking at her and closing the door. Was it really that obvious? Was the chemistry between them noticeable to people other than themselves. Was it really that bad? Nothing will even happy anyway. I mean, we are just friends. Friends. Friends. Abby walked into the bar again and he was sat there with their drinks. She smiled and he grinned back at her. What a sensation.
“How much do I owe you?” she said opening her purse. He shook his head finishing his sip of juice.
“Nothing. I’ll buy the drinks. Put your money away!” he said shaking his head. She shook her head at him and opened a compartment of her purse.
“Come on, how much? I can’t let you pay for it. I wont let you pay for it!” she said. He quickly slid onto her bench without saying anything. She didn’t move, she just watched him. He took the purse from her hands. Closed it and put it back in her bag. Shit, breathe Abby. Breathe out. He is so close.
“Now, lets enjoy our drinks!” he said, “Here’s to…us!” he said and they clinked glasses. There is two ways I could take that. Please let it be the non-friendship one. Don’t kid yourself Abby. They drank their drinks smiling at each. Never once taking there eyes each other. Suddenly, Luka missed his mouth tipping some juice down his top. Aww! Bless him! How funny! Abby’s laugh filled the room and Luka looked embarrassedly down at his now damp top.
“Maybe I should go and change!” he said laughing. He got up and Abby followed. Where are we going? Is he going to say goodnight to me at my door. Should I just go my own separate way or should I let him take me back to my room? Hold on. This is his room and he’s unlocking the door. Luka opened the door and held it open for Abby to go in. What’s going on? Oh, maybe he’s is just changing and then we are going back down to the bar. Luka turned the light on. The room had a small living room, which they were in now with a TV, sofa and a surface with a kettle and taps; a bedroom and a bathroom off to the side. Luka motioned to the couch and Abby sat down watching him as he disappeared into his bedroom. She could here his suitcase unzip. Luka walked out of the door topless with a clean shirt in his hands. Oh my! The body! His muscles. Gosh, I want him so bad but I just can’t have him.
“Help yourself to tea or a drink. I’ll just slip this on. One moment!” he said pointing to the kettle. Abby slowly got up resisting the urge to look into his room on the way to the ‘kitchen’. She turned the tap on and filled up the kettle. She put it on and suddenly became aware of a body just behind her. It was Luka. He reached his arm in front of her, his body pressed up against her and got a couple of teabags from the jar. Abby slowly turned round. She was so close to Luka and his face was inches away from hers. Do I dare look up? She dared. Her eyes met with hers. He slowly reached down and caressed her cheek, her eyes fluttering closed. He gently pressed his lips into hers. Finally, joining them both together after months of longing in her. Neither of them had drunk so they both knew how genuine it was for each other. Slowly he pulled away and Abby opened her eyes for the first time to gaze deeply into his eyes.
“Oh Abby, i…” Luka began to explain. Abby moved her body closer against his.
“Sssh, just kiss me,” she said and he smiled up against her mouth before opening his mouth up to hers. Months of longing for each other was poured into a deep, magical and powerful kiss shared between 2 people, 2 minds, 2 souls, 1 kiss, 1 love, 1 journey and one special bond that could never be broken. So this is what love is like.
