Hee hee....TNT is showing 'Leave It To Weaver' this morning. I remember the very first time I saw that episode. My mouth dropped open and I was drooling when Luka Kovac made his very first entrance. Cracked me up when he asked the little girl he was carrying if she had ever been to the circus. It was love....ahem.....LOVE..... at first sight! Can't wait to see it again!

It's my favourite episode. When I saw it I was totally sad and upset because of Doug's departure, but when I saw Goran... Wow! It' indescribable.

I have been wondering about Luka living in America for so long..is he a resident and how long can he stay? Now here is my little piece of speculation and I must emphasize this is all in my head and I have no reason to think it might happen. But what if Luka did something bad and he was threatened with deportation..what would he have to do to get kicked out of the country? I mean he bashed a man to death.. but it was deemed self defence. He assaulted Brian and nothing happened. He was pulled over by the police for speeding and let off. He procured a prostitute and didn't seem to get caught. He is involved in a malpractice suit outcome pending. Luka covered for Pratt... and well I could go on.... Luka seems to have been lucky so far ..but is Ames going to be the one to push Luka to do something unthinkable? Is Luka going to end up in prison or a mental hospital or could he be deported.....?

maybe the story will go that way... if he is in the US on a visa - maybe they could write it so the only way for him not to be deported is if he marries an american...

I was actually more worried that Luka would be deported so that Goran could leave and comeback when it suited him or just fim a few episodes like Noah does.

Well, I think that he may stay because of is job... I could say because of Abby and the baby, but they aren't married, so...
Maybe Anspaugh knows someone from imigration... or Weaver, she has said that she had a farm in Africa, hasn't she ?

Does Luka speak 4 languages? We all know he speaks English, Croatian and French (Africa). But, in season 8 'Beyond Repair' (Abby's birthday) he said he'd volunteered to go to Bosnia with Doctors Without Borders because he spoke the language. Did he mean Bosnian? Because in Bosnia they also speak Croatian and Serbian.

Because in Bosnia they also speak Croatian and Serbian. Generally, organizations such as Medecins sans Fronteires (Doctors w/out Borders) don't require their participants to speak the local language. Carter certainly doesn't speak a shred of Arabic and he was in the Sudan for a considerable period of time. I'm fairly sure an international organisation such as MSF/DWB would be mostly comprised of persons fluent in English, French, German, and/or Arabic, or some combination thereof. I believe English is the most promintent in NGO's (non-governmental organizations) such as that, the Red Cross, etc., though.
