But if the German embassy were to be attacked in Kosovo that wouldn't meant that Germany itself was likely to be involved; the Croatian embassy isn't in Croatia.
Perhaps one of our Croatian posters could comment on how "at risk" Croatia is; I've not seen it mentioned in any of the news coverage in The Guardian.

Umm..correct me if I'm wrong but he's been through worse...And..Abby dealing with such loss? Well...it's time for her to face the consequences, right? Because really, I don;t think there's anything worse than watching your children die.
Anyway...I know this is a drama and that's the main reason I like this show and I have for so long but they've done enough to last for a few lifetimes. And even if I thought of S13 to be the worse and the most boring of them all (I for one am not interested in seeing them being ordinary and raising Joe) there's nothing for them to do anymore.
I had hopes of seeing Luka get over this but now I think they'll show us something like...they talked about what needs to be done, he knows the whole truth and now they're patching things up. Now I'm just annoyed because hardly anyone is putting himself in his shoes, feeling unloved and cheated, with all his guilt and sorrows. I just want to see a resolution , since I've learned to keep my hopes low when it comes to this particular character.

I know that Luka has been through worse. GV's contract is basically over after this season. MT is still considering a 15th season. If they were to work the Croatian political situation into the show it would mean watching her deal with losing her family. I wouldn't want to watch that be the focus of her character. That was the intent of my last post.

Sorry...I thought you meant something else. But if no one is willing to watch the show next year, Maura and/or Goran or not...I guess E.R. is doomed either way...That's what happens when they don't know when to stop...I think...

I just want happy endings Luka & Abby.....I and i'm just worried how the writers will work that if Maura continues and Goran doesn't...oh well I guess we will have to wait and see.

Now it sucks.

I totally agree in that a good exit arc could have been in place for every single character with this last season. I think they were intent on giving Maura Emmy worthy material...and they did.....but probably to no avial. Who is going to look at a show that is whimpering out for award consideration? Sad......
I remember reading somewhere that ER is NBC's strongest rated drama. Is that true?? With all of the Law & Orders??? And casting Kathie Lee for the Today Show??? Gads, talk about rock bottom.

I'm kind of thinking that if it wasn't for the strike, ER would have had the 14th be their last season... they didn't announce signing on for another year until it was found that they were only doing 19 shows this season instead of the usual 22.
Just my take on it. When Luka is gone, I'M gone, in any event, except perhaps to see the last show. After all these years, I would like to see how they end it.

I was watching season 9 again (some ep) and Luka´s life going downhill was really sad to see. There´s not many scenes, but in every episode there´s a little bit showing him falling more and more.
The scene with the student (? Kathy), the mom, the wife, Chuny, Erin, the prostitute.... All the way more and more isolate of the others around him - to the point he felt invisible. The only one he tried to say something was the prostitute which didn´t help him much.
His speach to the prostitute/terapist - about the guy who doesn´t know where to go - kind of reminds me of his thoughts in "man with no name". His question if someone would recognize him all burned. I really wished he had heard Abby saying that she would. But I don´t think he did, he was way too drunk.
