I'd love to have Scotland, PA in DVD. I can't buy it so I have it on .avi What region code do you need? I think it's region 2. And I don't understand what you say about a torrent. I mean you already have it as an AVI file right? So if you download the torrent you'd just have another AVI file? I'm region 4, but torrents are often multi-region, if not it's easy to change sometimes. It's totally illegal, but you can download full DVD movies using torrents.

I finally saw 'Out of Darkness' today and Maura was very good in it. I bought the VHS tape on the internet but it's an English version without subtitles. I didn't quite understand Maura's last scene, when she's in the hospital, and crying, and talking about feeling like a guinea pig. If anyone, who has seen the movie could explain this a bit, I would be really grateful! That's great Martine that you finally saw 'Out of Darkness'! Unfortunately I cannot help you, I want it too, but I'm not able to buy it on bol.com... Is it a lot that you cannot understand? If not, maybe it's possible if you post as much as possible of Maura's lines here and we (as in everyone else here who speaks Dutch) can translate it for you.

It was like a last chance so she was angry and sad that she was going to be back in the shadows of her disease again.....resorting to more trial meds that might not work. It was a heartbreaking scene.

Thanks a lot Larue. Can I ask just a few more questions: Maura's character did try taking the same meds as Dianna's character did right? But, sadly, they didn't work for her.
In this scene was she being prepared for an operation or some kind of trial? Why was she in the hospital? What did those Drs. say?
I found it strange that she didn't appear later in the movie anymore so I guess there's still some part I didn't quite understand.
And I agree, it was a very sad scene. Actually it reminded me of the scene in Bloodline when she was crying after sending Luka to the Nicu to be with Joe.

And from the Exclusive Bonus Disc. There's an exclusive footage (more like a deleted scene) of the breakfast or lunch scene at the beginning of the movie. The topic of lesbian came up, and Caroline's son, who is sitting next to her, asks what is a lesbian. And Caroline responds, "A lesbian is a woman who wears pants to her wedding." (Something around those terms ). Does someone have this scene of the Bonus Disc as an AVI file? I would like to add that to the clip I just made of all the deleted scenes and alternate endings but this is the only one I'm missing. Thanks !

Sorry, I didn't see this sooner, Martine. In this scene was she being prepared for an operation or some kind of trial? Why was she in the hospital? What did those Drs. say? The meds that Maura and Diana's characters were on required that their blood be monitored very carefully. A dangerous side effect would require that they be taken off the meds immediately . Its been a while since I have watched this but now you have gotten me in the mood for another Maura-Fest. LOL I will amend this after when I have updated my brain..... I found it strange that she didn't appear later in the movie anymore so I guess there's still some part I didn't quite understand. It wasn't strange at all since this was Diana's story. Maura was just a friend at the halfway house going through the same thing. HER story ended when the meds failed her and she had to move back home. As Maura-centric fans, of COURSE we would want to learn more about HER character.

No problem yeah, you're right, of course it was Dianne's movie. I loved Maura's parts though, so heartbreaking. Now, I'm gonna concetrate on making clips of it

I just recently watched "Welcome to Mooseport". Normally, I don't really think about this movie being a Maura movie, but it really is, and I tend to overlook it. It played on FX the other day, so I recorded it and watched it again, and I really enjoyed it. It is such a fun movie, and Maura is great in it. I love when Ray is asking her is she's really going to go on a date with the President. She makes this adorable face where she slides her eyes to the side and says "You know what? I think I just might." It's so funny! So if you haven't watched it, or haven't watched it lately, I highly recommend it. Maura's part is quite pivotal in the movie.

She was definitely the female lead in that film....even thought they trued to pass Marcia Gay Harden in that part. LOL I have many favorite scenes form that flick because she was playing a very anti-Abby character. : ) And she does a great drunk....as well as a drunk with a hang over. But we all know that.

Yeah, I mean, I see how Marcia Gay Harden's role is important, too, but the whole point of the movie is the mayor race, which they never would have gotten involved in except for Maura. She is definitely the more important female. Not that I don't like Marcia...it's just that she's not Maura. ;D

Oh God I love that scene at the coffee shop when they both get drunk and play golf. I've seen it about 100 times and yet, every time I watch it again, I cry from laughing

When "Mooseport" was reviewed in Entertainment Weekly the critic came up with a new word to describe Maura's character. The critic called the character "Tierneyrific". I don't know why the word ever caught on.

Just added the article at "maura´s archive", can´t believe it wasn´t there (bad, bad sissa).
I think this is a sweet movie and one of Maura´s biggest part. I´m sure it meant a lot to her, if for nothing else it was her only chance to work with Gene Hackman (this is his last movie), and they had quite some scenes together.
Critics kept saying it was hard to see Romano having trouble to marry Maura - how is that possible? The same way I read critics saying how Ben (forces of nature) could possible second guess his future life with Maura.
