I think the episode titled "Strange Bedfellows" might be a reference to Abby & Luka's relationship still not being defined. I think this is the episode that someone FINALLY get's the courage to tell the other how they feel. I think Abby is going to tell Luka that she loves him. I bet it comes at the very end of the episode and it won't be in any of the previews. One Forum board I read has Luka being the one actually asked to go to Africa to help Carter (Again)- yet somehow Pratt ends up going. If this is true then maybe this is the catalyst that prompts Abby to admit her feelings- after all Luka almost died last time he went and she has more at stake this time.......... I think Abby will say I love you first.

I hear what you're saying but i think Luka will say it first. Abby is still too unsure of herself, the baby and the relationship. But i think that as soon as Luka says it Abby will realise that she can be happy and will say it straight back.

I think Abby will say it first
I think Luka will be scared to in case he freaks her out, but it won't.

I don't care, the important is that they say it

I know what you mean. The time when they say it will make the bond that won't (i hope) break.

I think Luka will say it first. If Abby does, though, it would be such a huge moment for her

Well it depends. If they manage to say it in season 12, it might be her. I agree that Luka is currently too cautious to say it...
But if they haven't said it in season 12 and considering what is supposed to happen in 13.01 I think he will say it first. I mean the birth seems quite dramatic... He can potentially lose them both. It's the worst case scenario and he has nothing to lose...

Well I was wrong - Abby didn't say the words we are all waiting to hear "I love you Luka". But she came came very very close I think to saying it!

I LOVE how we are obsessing about this. Do you think TPTB are sitting in a room somewhere reading our thoughts/postings and figuring out MORE ways to make us crazy? Personally, I think it will still be a while before either of them actually say the words. Abby is still muddling through the whole relationship thing and he knows if he pushes her too far too fast she will shut down all together. Sigh. I should have been a psychologist. I spend too much time trying to figure things out.

I will dare to say that for Luka would be easy to say to Abby "I love you", firstly because he knows Abby very well and he really loves her and secondly because he really expect to have a life with her.
This week in Peru (the country I live in) the network aired reruns of season 11 and I watched a scene where Luka is saying Sam "I love you", but it didn't feel so much emotional stuff when he said it.
IMVHO I would love to see Abby saying it first, because lately I have seen Maura's performance in emotional scenes on ER and she seems to breakdown when she puts herself so emotional (she reminds me Meg Ryan when she is about to cry she touches her chest as she is searching for strength or she is hyperventilating or having trouble to breathe in order to make a scene dramatic or emotional, hope you understand my friends), Maura's voice breaks down and I bet all the viewers become so anxious when she is becoming emotional. Of course I am not that expert to make a comparison between Maura and Meg, but I can't help to make a mental parallel. If Abby say "I love you" first, I wouldn't like it to be under pressure of some event, I would like her to say it to Luka for no reason, but it would be nicer if some people is around them when she finally says it.
