Maybe I should have posted this bit I wrote yesterday lunchtime on another thread (Everyone had ignored) Rory had set up especially for this kind of discussion... The pair of them need to sit down and sort their problems out with the issues... It isn't the best of time after Luka father dying, Abby going on the bender and had a one night stand with her boss, her feeling angry at Luka for not being on the end of the phone when she needed him such as when Joe had an accident. Just pure frustration. As Luka is grieving, the last thing he wants to hear Abby's confession as he is hurting and it made things worst. He isn't in the frame of mind to deal with a lot of issues, just get over the breavement (which would take a long time for some people) Should Abby have waited? Maybe Abby too honest and the the guilt got to her. It doesn't help that he wants to run away from the their relationship problems. Ok, maybe Luka wants his space by moving out so he can think clearly about everything round him, lots of couples have a separation period during a crisis... Luka must remember that Abby wouldn't have done what she did if she didn't hit the bottle... They need each other to get through this... The trust needs to be built. Look at this way, Luka hasn't had the best of realtionships, for instance Sam treated him like shit, Julie wasn't a princess either. Luka is a typical old-fashioned guy (in a good way) wants to settle to have a lovely and honest family life, like he did back in Croatia with Danijela, Marko and Jasna... I don't think he has ever come to terms losing them... His father dying brought back the pain. Am I waffling on?

I think that they are both just to upset with each other to be able to handel it, and luka feels that the easiest way to handel it is to run away from it. I think that they just need time to realise(again)that they are made for each other, and that if they try, things will work out.

Hey, I don't know if I just can't remember or have no idea, but who the hell was Julie? That name doesn't sound familiar... ?? Thanks.

I was really dissapointed with this episode. I have to admit as soon as I saw Amy Aquino's name on the credits I inwardly growned as I could tell we were headed for more gloom. It's not just about the writers messing around with Luby, it's just for the first time last week I saw what people meant when they appreciated episodes without Abby as they had a break from her drama- this whole season has been about her drinking, infedelity, arguments with the staff, and its gone on a bit too long imo. The abruption story was a bit unrealistic- bleeding out one minute then the bleeding suddenly stops and she's smiling away still not transferred to OB?
And what is it wtith doctors pouring their heart out to patients?! Luka to someone he's only just met, the Neela's patient having to reassure Neela about her own surgery. (I was hearing bells of doom as she kept saying she was going to be just fine- in ER land I wouldn't bet on it!)
I actually appreciated Sam and Gates!
