I think I've watched Full House for like 10 years or so because in my country the show was aired repeatedly by 2 national channels.
At that time I liked the story and the characters and of course Uncle Jesse was a cutie. Then I saw I think one episode of one show I don't quite remember and I seemed his glow was gone.
Then I heard he was about to be on ER and I got excited... I thought "Maybe drama is his thing"... SILLY ME! Because I think his best acting was showed in FULL HOUSE and the prove of it is that when it comes to play scenes with kids under 14 years old he mostly does GREAT, however when it comes to other adults actors I just can't buy it. But of course, IT'S JUST ME...
But I think what make me be all negative about him is the fact that TPTB have announced him implying he's THE GOLDEN GUY OF ER, the one who could get the ratings go up and have been trying TOO HARD... IMO.
I really hope he gets to pull through "Gates" character, I really do for the sakes of the show itself and for him of course.
About the adoption thing... I think reminding people about his MESS in Australia like he did in the E! News interview, won't help to the adoption process. Maybe he changed his mind and wants to raise a kid as part of his "THINKS TO DO IN LIFE" list, but as such thing is kind of private I don't think he should be telling a magazine his decision of life... but of course it's juts my opinion.

I just saw a John Stamos biography on 'E' and he came off as a wonderfully straight and sane person. The interviews with friends and family...and fellow ER actors (John Wells, Scott, Maura and Linda, taped during the filming of 'In a Differnt Light') put a nice 'face' on the guy. (Heh...we share a similar Disney and Beach Boy obsession.) LOL They showed him as accepting what happened in Australia, and moving on with his life and career. While I am not surprised that they could put a positive spin on him, I was surprised that I would become so protective. He really HAS 'done it all with his career.' Hope they CAN get his character together in this last season......sigh. And I would LOVE if they did the same sort of show for Maura.....TRIPLE sigh.

To clarify....it was my post and it was an actor spot light on one of the entertainment channels....NOT on the computer. Several of his ER costars were commenting about him during an interview on the show. Because of their costumes and the back stage filming, it was taped during the filming of 'In A Differnet Light'.

Funny little article from TVGuide. John Stamos on Monday had a run-in with a belligerent passenger as he flew from Chicago (where he was lensing ER) to Los Angeles. According to Access Hollywood, Stamos was asleep in first class when a woman shook him awake. When the female ignored Stamos' demand that she stop, he got up to use the loo, only to find her steadfastly deposited in his seat when he got back. The woman then allegedly made quite a scene, necessitating an FBI welcoming committee when the plane touched down at LAX.
Stamos did not press charges.Link: community.tvguide.com/blog-entry/TVGuide-News-Blog/Todays-News/Stamos-Flies-Unfriendly/800027282

He has even more now - unfortunately quite a lot of it seems to be on his face rather than his head.
I do feel for actors who are confronted by themselves in previous incarnarnations. We can burn all our embarrassing photographs but those tapes are out there forever ...

This was a video that his character in "FULL HOUSE" did with his band. The babies are supposed to be his twins. When I saw it on the show, I actually thought he was cute, but I was younger back then.

Oh, I'll admit! I had a thing for Stamos...I thought he was cute in Jake in Progress...but E.R. managed to make me not to like him...at all.
