Chapter 7
She carefully approached him.
“Hey, will you come in?” Abby asked. Luka nodded in response.
They went into her apartment. She left her keys on the table when Luka turned her around and kissed passionately. Abby was stunned for a second. She didn't expect this. But then she answered him in the same manner.
They pulled apart slowly.
“Where did that come from?” she asked lifting a brow curiously
“I can't go on like this. I know I said that I will wait but, Abby, what ant to whom are we trying to prove? I need you. I can't let some Nick or anyone else to steal you from under my nose. I will not lose you again. Let's forget about this ridiculous agreement. We were apart for too long to keep doing it to ourselves. Let's not waste any more moments. I love you. Be with me.” He said in one breath.
She looked him in the eyes while every bit of his speech sinked in. And she realized that she feels the same. To hell all these precautions. She loves him. He loves her.
“Ok” she whispered.
Luka waited nervously for her answer fearing that she will send him away. But hearing this simple word he sighed with relief.
“Thank God” He kissed her pulling her closer to him. She kissed him back passionately.
There they were, two loving people in the dark space of average Boston apartment. But there wasn't one single average thing about them. They were very special for one another. There was he, one single person who made her heart beating rapidly. There was she, the one and only woman who took his heart and healed him with her love.
In the silence of the night there were two lovers who reunited for the first time in years. The only sounds heard were ones of his love to her and ones of the pleasure he was giving to her. They didn't sleep all night. They had too many nights to make up for.
When the alarm went off Abby opened her eyes slowly and felt soft warmness right behind her. Memories of the last night floated her mind and she smiled softly.
Luka sensed that she woke up and pulled her closer to him.
“Morning, sunshine” he murmured in her ear.
She definitely liked to wake up this way.
“Me? Sunshine? Did you have amnesia from the last time we dated?”
Luka laughed a little.
“God, I've missed you so much, Abby”
“I know. Me too”
He kissed her thoroughly and rolled them over so that he was on top of her.
'”Luka, if you continue like this we'll be late for work and I can't let myself such luxury”
Luka groaned at the mention of work.
“OK. But we're taking shower together” he gave her one of those looks that were reserved only for her.
“Deal” she pecked him on the lips and started to get up.

They went to the hospital together. Susan met them in the ambulance bay.
“Oh! Look who it is!”
“Later” Abby dropped passing her by.
“Ookay” Susan smiled.
In the lounge Abby and Luka stood close to each other with only millimeters between their faces.
He snaked his hands around her waist and kissed her lightly.
“I'll wait for you here after shift”
“Mhm” she nodded and rested her forehead against his chest.
“I should go” she said releasing him.
“Ok. See you later” Luka answered hugging her even closer.
“Ok”
They reluctantly let go of each other and went to do their job.

On the coffee break Susan asked Abby “So, what is going on?” with meaningful look on her face.
“What do you mean?” Abby pretended she didn't know what she was talking about.
“Well, yesterday you were having diner with one man and this morning you came to work holding hands with the other who happens to be your ex-boyfriend” Susan explained.
“Boyfriend? Are you kidding me? We're not 15.”
“Would you like manfriend more?”
“Oh God, no” Abby didn't like such term either.
“By the way, nice try to redirect my attention, missy. But let's return to our muttons. What's up with you and Luka?”
“We're back on” Abby said quietly.
“I knew you wouldn't last long with that stupid agreement! Good for you. And bad for Nick” She smiled warmly at her friend.
“Yeah. I'm so happy now” Abby answered smiling mysteriously.
“And I'm happy for you. OK. My shift is over so I'm going home to my comfy bad. For how long are you on?”
“3 more hours”
“Then I see you tomorrow. I'm out of here” Susan waved.
“Bye”
Before going to deal with patients Abby sat for 5 more minutes enjoying the quietness.
I'm waiting for your reviews. Good or bad - it doesn't matter. Give me advice and I'll try to improve
