Before I wanted Jake changing his mind, not anymore. I want him to lose any rights in court. Let the judge keep him away of Luke´s life. As far as the kid is concern (is this a word?) the only father he has and ever had is Luka. There´s no reason to let Jake get anything (no visits, no name, no nothing). Because it´s not about what Jake wants (nor Kelly), it´s about the best interest of the child. I rest my case!

Thanks guy, new update for ya! ;DChapter 67 A headache came on strong, causing Abby to wince. She brought her hand up to her forehead and began messaging it lightly while still rubbing her daughter’s back with the other hand. “Baby,” Abby said softly, “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I don’t know how to fix it, baby. But I’m going to do all that I can.” A sharp sigh escaped her lips as her head began to pound. “Lexy,” she breathed, “Go get your daddy.” Lexy lingered in Abby’s embrace for a few more seconds before obeying her mother. She slowly made her way off of the bed and walked toward Luke’s room where Luka was helping Luke get dressed and ready for the day. “Daddy,” Lexy said as she walked into Luke’s room. Luke turned to her voice and smiled as he showed her his new tie that his dad had bought him to wear. “Look, Lex, daddy showed me how to do it,” Luke stated proudly as he quickly tied the tie around his neck. Luka had been impressed; his child was a genius. He didn’t know many people his age who knew how to do that, much less a seven year old. “Cool,” Lexy replied, not really impressed. “Daddy,” Lexy said with a shaky breath. It was then that Luka noticed Lexy’s puffy eyes. He hurried to her side and bent down to her level. His thumb quickly wiped away a tear. “Tink, what’s the matter?” Luka asked quickly. Lexy shrugged. “Mommy asked me to get you,” she told him. “Are you okay, though?” He questioned his daughter. Lexy nodded, and Luka stood up and headed toward his room. When he entered the bedroom, he saw Abby lying down with her head under the covers. He approached the bed slowly and climbed up next to Abby. “Ab’s,” he whispered, touching her lower back with his hand, “what’s the matter?” When Abby didn’t respond, Luka grew worried as he got off of the bed and walked over to the side which she was laying. He pulled down the covers gingerly to find her eyes tightly shut and her hands covering her ears. He placed his hand on her forehead, causing her eyes to open. “Luka,” she sighed. “I have the worst headache.” Tears rimmed her eyes as the sharp pounding continued. “I feel terrible.”

Here ya go, new chapter!! ;DChapter 68 Luka gently rubbed her cheek with the back of his hand as he tried to soothe his wife. She had been through so much this entire pregnancy, but he had never seen her in this much pain because of it. He pulled his cell phone from his back pocket and began dialing Janet. He was interrupted by the sound of his front door opening. “Knock, knock, is anyone here?” Susan called from downstairs. Luka had forgotten that Susan was coming to help Abby get dressed for the day. He kissed Abby gently on her forehead before heading out of the room to see Susan. When he got to the staircase, he saw that Lexy and Luke were already downstairs and talking with Susan about goodness knows what. He took the steps two-by-two as he made his way down the steps. “Susan,” he said as desperation filled his voice. “I need you to come upstairs, now. Lexy and Luke, you stay right here, you understand?” Luke and Lexy eyed one another, question filling their eyes, but they nodded. “Oh, okay,” Susan said perplexed, as she followed Luka back up the stairs. She was finding it hard to keep up with him because he was going quickly. When they entered the bedroom, Abby was sitting up slightly as she held her head with her right hand. “Oh my god, Abby,” Susan exclaimed as she rushed to Abby’s frail frame. “You’re sweating,” she said to no one in particular. Abby didn’t have time to respond, as a viscous wave of nausea hit her and she couldn’t control it. She began violently throwing up in her lap and onto the carpet. Luka rushed to her side, as he pulled back her hair and placed a trashcan under her mouth. “Abby,” he murmured as she emptied her stomach once more. “We need to get her to the hospital,” Susan stated as Luka nodded his head. “I know,” he replied, “let’s wash her up, first. Can you drive, so I can sit in the back with her?” “Sure,” Susan said, she patted Abby’s shoulder before heading to the closet to pick something clean for Abby to wear, even though odds were that she would throw up on them as well. “Wait,” Susan said as a realization hit her, “what are we going to do with the kids?”

Thanks, here's a new update for ya! ;DChapter 69 “I…I don’t know, we’ll have to take them with us, I guess,” he said as he rubbed small circles on Abby’s back. Abby was now laying down in exhaustion; her eyes fluttering slowly to a close. “I’ll call Neela; we can drop them off at her house,” Susan said, realizing that neither Luka nor Abby were able to make that decision right now. “Okay,” Luka said. “Here, Abby,” Susan said as walked in from the bathroom and rubbed a cool cloth over her mouth and forehead. “Let’s sit up and change you out of that gown, okay?” Abby moaned as Luka helped Susan lift her up. Susan and Luka pulled the soiled gown over Abby’s head and placed on a new one. Luka scooped Abby up into his arms and kissed her cheek lovingly. “It’s okay, Ab’s,” he whispered into her ear, “It’s going to be okay.” A Short While LaterThey had just dropped off the kids with Neela as they now rushed to the hospital. Luka held Abby protectively in his arms, as her body began to shiver. He traced her arm up and down with the tips of his fingers, as she curled her body toward him. “Can we get there any faster?” Luka questioned Susan frantically. “I’m going as fast as I can,” Susan said back. Her eyes travelled to the rear-view mirror to check on Abby. She certainly didn’t look okay. “We’re here,” Susan said moments later, “I’ll drop you off at emergency.” As Susan stopped in front of the emergency entrance, Luka got out and hurried Abby in. He walked past the main desk and met Janet, whom he had called on the way to the hospital, in the front. “Abby,” Janet said sweetly as she guided Luka to place her onto a bed that had been rolled up. Luka gently put her down, but kept his hand protectively in hers. “How are you feeling?” “Terrible,” she said with a quivering voice. Janet bent over her and felt her forehead. “Take her upstairs to room 521, now and begin running tests. I’ll be up there in a minute,” Janet told an intern. The intern nodded. “You’re letting an intern deal with my wife?” “You were an intern once, and this one is highly capable. Plus, I’m going right up there. I’ll take care of Abby, Luka,” Janet told him. “I know. I’m just so scared,” Luka confessed as he ran his hand through his hair. “I’m not going to lie to you Luka. This doesn’t look good, you know that. That baby is probably going to have to be born soon,” she said looking over at the elevator where Abby lay as the doors closed. “But it’s too early….” “We’ll do everything we can.”

New update! ;DChapter 70 At the Court House“Unbelievable,” Kelly mumbled under her breath as everyone stood around as they waited for the Kovacs to show. She should have known this was going to happen. They were probably half way to Canada by now. “Ms. Davis?” The judge questioned the Kovacs’ lawyer who was just as perplexed as they were. She moved her way to his bench and gave a weak smile. “Um, Judge Baxley, I’m sure they are on their way…If not, I’m sure there is a good explanation….” “Yeah, like high tailing it out of Chicago,” Kelly said with a shake of her head. “They did have that money from Tommy. It was like 400,000 or more left over, right? And think of the interest….” “Kelly,” Jake said as he took Kelly’s arm and brought her over to him, “I don’t think Abby would do that.” “Humph,” Kelly snorted, “And she didn’t hide the fact that Luke was your son for seven years, either did she?” “Kelly,” Jake sighed. “I’m sure there is a good reason why they aren’t here.” “There better be, for her sake,” Kelly smirked. “Your honour,” the bailiff said as he walked into the room and over to the judge’s seat. “We’ve received a call from Dr. Janet Coburn. She says that Dr. Abigail Kovac has been admitted to the hospital and cannot appear in court today.” “I see,” Judge Baxley said, “would you please send someone to make sure that she is really there? And if that is the case, we will have to postpone the custody case for another day.” “What?” Kelly stated incredulously, “This is probably just some scheme to push back the day until Abby can convince Jake to drop it!” Jake’s eyes widened at Kelly’s suggestion, as he lightly grabbed her shoulders and brought her back away from the judge. “Jake, we will determine if this is a real emergency or not, so please keep your ideas to yourself,” Judge Baxley scolded. “You don’t really believe that, do you, Kelly?” Jake whispered as he held her forearms in his hands. “Abby isn’t like that.” Kelly blinked back tears as she wiped the bottom of her lower eye lid with her pinky. “You’ll always stick up for her, won’t you? No matter what she does to you,” Kelly lightly accused. “Maybe she should have told you about Luke and you and she could have lived ‘happily-ever-after.’” “Kelly, that’s not fair. Abby is my best friend.” Jake told her, “but you, you are my wife. I love you.” “Yeah,” Kelly whispered.
