This may be a little late, but I was just looking at pictures of Bloodline and I noticed something. Didn't Maura have a manicure in 21 guns? She certainly did not in Bloodline... Am I right or am I just going crazy?

Shouldn't doctors have short nails? So that they don't break the cloves and other stuff.

When natalie posted about meeting maura last summer (yes feel the jealousy!) maura said "No one could find nail polish remover on set, so I said f**k this and left them manicured." about it! does look great! although they really need to sort out the continuity problem!

That seems to be a rule that gets bent rather a lot on ER - Neela has her hair down a lot as well. I certainly tie my hair up for dissection, anyway (though not everyone else does), though it won't affect the cadaver if I don't - but it'll affect my hair....

I always wear my hair up when Im working at the surgery... Its practical too... Doctors and Nurses should keep their nails short... but hey! ER and other TV shows always glammed up for something... how often you go to the real ER and find as many good looking Docs/Nurse like on ER? Nobody at my work good looking... except ME! hahahahaha! (NOT!)

LOL! If I remember rightly, Abby (well, Maura I guess), has always had manicured nails, if not long nails. Pretty!

i was in the hospital for 3 months last year and i saw a ton of doctors with their hair down so maybe its something that they suggest but you don't have to do?

Well, I don't think it's a rule, to have tha hair up in hospitals, it's just a little yucky... I remember Abby on "Free fall", when she intubated Chuck... he had vomited and she held his head, and then, when she was trying to intubate, she put her hand on her hair!! It was so disgusting!!!

Oh, and about short nails... we must have our nails short, cause they can hurt the patient when we exam him... or hurt yourself in a kind of exam that I don't know the name in English... But, well, Er is a TV show, the actresses already used almost no make up, they have to have short nails too? no way!!
