when I make videos I often use windows movie maker but the program keeps shutting down so I'm searching after a better one. I used Ulead Videostudio 10 for a while but it was only a trialversion and it takes up a HUGE amount of space on your hard drive, over 400 MB!

If you have a Mac, you can use iMovie, as long as the clips are in an accepted format.

You need to download a program called 'window media encoder' (it's free!). which, as you said, will convert all your music files to WMA. This will solve all your problems! You will also find that with some music files, that your able to import them into movie maker but they will be all jumble up, and the music will play differently every time with the video images (very frustrating). especially when your trying to time a certain part of the song to certain part of your video. This program will help with that to. ( am i making sense?) Any why....sorry to ramble on. hope any of this helps....? www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx
