I love ER. It is my one hour a week that I don't do homework or take phone calls. And its a kick a$$ show!
However, with the new turn of events in the continuous epi's angle, I was thinking about how ER will go on in the future. While the big news of late is GV thinking about his future and wanting to pursue other things, I had an idea. (like it matters, right )
I could see ER going out with style at the end of season 14. However, I would LOVE to see ER movies of the week a few times a year. After all, Michael Chrighton (sp?) wanted ER to originally be a movie. This would allow actors to only be committed a few times a year and also allow for the story to continue. And really, lets be honest, some former ER actors aren't really doing much of late. (and some like Maria Bello are being talked about for Oscars!)
Could you imagine??? Revisiting charecters such as Chen and Corday in a movie setting??? No messy contracts, but honest to goodness medical drama in a two hour time set every few months or so where we get to see our favorites doing thier thing? Kind of like Matlock or Columbo or In the heat of the night....(I swear I am not old enough to really enjoy those shows...)
Anyway, I think that revisting County General and charecters every now and again would rate high with viewers and ratings in general.
How about a movie where Luby is in Croatia and Luka goes back to work for a hospital there with or without his family?? Or we see Carter and Kem again? I don't hate these former charecters, but there usefulness at County General has run its course. But once in a while to see them back in action........oh well, just random ideas....
