Heh...gotta love a school that requires 4 credits in Theology and only .5 in Performing Arts producing an artist like Maura Tierney. I wonder if she did any Drama Club stuff while she was there??? And I think those Theology credits drove her away from the church as she says she is not 'religious' at all. LOL

She always said nice words about her school. Prescription for success ER star and Boston native Maura Tierney adds ‘villain’ to her résumé BY TAMARA WIEDER Issue Date: February 14 - 21, 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: I was going to ask you how you lost your Boston accent, but I hear it a little bit now. You don’t hear it on ER.
A: It comes back when I come home! I had this great drama teacher, an English teacher, in high school, whose name was Mrs. Doyle, at Notre Dame Academy in Hingham, an all-girls’ Catholic school. We did the Boston Globe Drama Festival, and people from all over the state came, and she said to us, "You can’t talk like that. You can’t be in these competitions and talk like that." So I started to become aware of it as a sophomore or junior in high school. And then, I’ve been gone for 18 years. So I was made aware of it pretty young. And then I went to speech and all that stuff.thephoenix.com/Boston/boston/news_features/qa/documents/02161813.htmI wonder if I´m the only one who miss Wry Smile terribly. In special the articles, coz I can find pics here and there, but a colection of articles about her doesn´t exist - I think.

No...you are NOT the only one that misses the Wry Smile. Maybe we should get a collection going in here somehow though..... Those articles were fun to read on rainy days when you have nothing else to do.

For the ones who didn't know, it's Maura's all-girls Catholic school in Hingham, Massachusetts: Hingham is a city in UK too! Nina was there few years ago!

Let me know what you need and...you'll have it Though it's going to be hard to find all those articles back. I think I have a couple.

Probably we would need just one thread where we could post the article title, date and then a link of some sort?? No coomments by readers though. It could get to be too long and not easy to find things..

I think we could post the articles, not links coz after some time they don´t work (hummm, maybe I´m a bit traumatized ) I agree with you about the commentaries. Thread(s) would be too big with the articles AND commentaries - and it would be harder for people to find stuff around posters´ various observations. My sugestion is: Post the articles, including interviews - there´s not many of them - without commentaries. Could be 1 threat for interviews (AOL, magazines...) 1 threat for old articles 1 treat for recent articles (this year) To mantain some sequence we could spend/give, for example, 2 weeks for posters find and well, post, articles related to a certain period of time (like "1999 or prior" - then "2000"...). In 5 weeks we´ll have it done

The most important part would be: no comments at all in any of those threads and that each article must be dated so we can put them in order.

Maybe you need to think about opening a seperate section to hold those threads.

Maybe you need to think about opening a seperate section to hold those threads. Good idea. What do you have in mind? Scanned articles like this one?: Because there is a way we can create a gallery very similar to the one Wry Smile had for this forum. Or you are only referring to written articles over the internet? According to this, we can create a gallery or a new section...you tell.
