If only I had the courage to go! I love New York it's like Manchester with sun! Hoping to do NYC and Boston next summer for my holiday. I'm kinda envious of all those who have met her but it's nice to know that she really is so down to earth. I can't wait to see the pics!

Before you go to either place, check with some of the people here. We can all give you some tips on what to do and where to eat and how to make the best of either place. I would be ready to go again in a second! In fact, my daughter and I are already planning to go together in August to celebrate her 14th birthday. It will be a different kind of trip for us as she wants to see some of the things I missed on this trip. I don't think that any trip to NYC would be the same as the last one. It's so overwhelming and best taken in small bites, I think. Oh....and my pictures with Maura??? Didn't turn out well at all. RATS!!

I will! I went in 2001 with my parents for my mum's 50th. It was strange though because it was just after 9/11. We were only there for about five days, not enough time to see alot! It's a shame about your pictures, you have the autographs and the memories though

I have the memories. My daughter has one autograph and the second (along with Dylan') is attached to a 'Please excuse from school....' note that I wrote for my principal. Dylan laughed like crazy when I explained what it was. My principal is going to laugh as well. She was out of the building yesterday but I left it on her desk for first thing Monday morning.

Morandi is in West Village. I just did a google map and it's 2.3 miles - or 8 minutes - away from the theater by car. You can get the addresses off each website. I met a friend at 'Chez Josephine' which is RIGHT next door to the theater and that was wonderful!! The atmosphere inside was colorful and brash and fun. The food was good too. If you want to eat at the place where they held the play's opening night party, check out the West Bank Cafe, which is also close by. I can also highly recommend the burgers at the Papaya Dog down the street and on the corner from the theater. LOTS of people were stopping there after the show.

If you think you can figure out the subway system, Morandi is only a few stops down the 1 line. Christopher Street/Sheridan Square stop. I was wondering where the opening night party was held, now I know. I also have another restaurant to work into my list when my family goes back with me in Nov.

I saw the play last night and I loved it. Of coarse after the show I hung around to meet her, she is a total sweet heart it's too bad my nerves got the best of me. the only thing that actually came out of my mouth was great show. I'm hoping one day I'll run into her again since I'm always in the city and maybe next time I could actually talk.
I see a lot of you are traveling to New York. If your looking for something to do I recommend going to see accomplice. It's a lot of fun and you get a little tour of manhattan.
