It was a really good episode. Some amazing luby scenes. You'll love it, Wendy. I'm just going to copy what I said in my LJ because I'm so lazy. Loved my luby tonight! Abby is finally starting to show. It's small, but it's there. It must've been scary for her to find out that she was treating a patient with such a dangerous and infectious disease. I found her reluctance to get the shot a bit strange but understandable. Still, I loved it when Luka took her by the hand and dragged her away saying he'd give her the shot himself. While I know some will disagree, I think he was only trying to protect her. It shows how much he does care. That said, Abby's concerns were understandable as well. Loved the scene where they are going to get the hot chocolate. I was afraid it would break out into a huge fight, but it was handled wonderfully. This time Luka knew just the right thing to say. I thought it was so sweet when he said, "Would it help if I worried too?" Then he asks how long they should be worried for. Abby had a big smile on her face by the end. They really are getting it right this time Luka, Luka, Luka.. get angry more often! I know this is terrible, but that scene where he's chewing out Pratt did something to me. I love angry Luka. When he gets all angry, I get seriously turned on. Same thing happened when he chewed out Neela in "If Not Now". I didn't feel sorry for Neela.. I wished I had been her!!! I have it soooo bad! Only person I never want to see him really angry with is Abby. Luby must live happily ever after!!! Speaking of my absolute favorite ER character, I do wish he had gone ahead and reported Pratt. I do not want to see Luka's career jeopardized because of Pratt's stupidity. This does not mean that Pratt would have had to leave. He probably would've just been reprimanded in true ER fashion and been aloud to stay. I really felt for Kerry. I am also disabled, and I totally understand where she is coming from. It becomes your identity and a major part of who you are. I'm still happy that she went ahead with the surgery. I was shocked that she wanted Abby to be the legal guardian of Henry. Loved it when Abby brought up Luka (of course), and Kerry said he was a good man and would make a great father. (Well yeah!) I wouldn't want anything to happen to Kerry, but I can just see Abby and Luka raising Henry right along with their own child. Instant family Loved Neela! I think I yelled "You Go Girl!" at the screen when she was voicing her feelings about the Iraq war to the other military wives. I totally agree with her. The cookies thing was very cute. Both me and my mother burst out laughing when she said "Oh bullocks on all of you!" Oh, and Frank's "the keeper of her cookies". *Snorts* Ray and Neela were adorable. I'm really starting to love these two together. I could see them being very happy together. While Luby will always be my first passion, the roomies are really starting to hook me in. Only part of the episode I didn't like was the Sam thing. I felt like he was flirting with her. I'm sure it was just me and that he seriously did want her to work for him. Still, I don't really trust him. I could never just up and move in with someone I don't know.. and to bring my child along? Scary. Next week's ep looks good too. Can't wait!

I really, really enjoyed the friendship thread that ran through this epi. I totally bought Kerry asking Abby to be Henry's guardian. Abby has really been there at some pretty intense moments in Kerry's life. She was in NICU when Henry was born and the ONLY one to stay with Kerry when Sandy died. That particular scene broke my heart and had me a little worried that TBTB might be setting upa something for the two of them. Whew. Neela planning a baby shower for Abby was totally a riot. Ray and Neela at the end of the show...too cute. The guys dissing her cookies...too funny. Her comments at the Spouse Club meeting....heartbreaking and right on. I seriously thought Luka was going to deck Pratt.... AND send him off to Africa for his 'vacation'! Go Croatian Hottie! Yum. Sam cracked me up with her comments about her skills and the easy banter with her rich old guy. Seriously reminded me of the Nurse Abby stuff we used to see. Thought of my friend Cranky's hair comments every time I saw Luka and Abby tonight. 'Shampoo Boy' indeedy! They BOTH looked awesome tonight. Can't WAIT to see what SHE has to say about this epi! As for the baby bump, I would just have to say that Maura looked great. It was nice to see her filling out a bit and looking healthier. Her face was even fuller... softer and prettier.

Just my two favorites:
EMT: You know, March Madness. Luka: More like March Stupid.
Luka: How long do we worry for? Abby: 10, 20 minutes.

Ok, I finally saw the eppy (clips will be up tomorrow!) I loved all the Luby bits, but my most fav scenes where the ones with Abby and Kerry. Kerry needs to be in ER more often, I love her and the friendship between these two was great! The scene with Neela and the other military wives was uncomfortable, i'm not sure why but I found it hard to watch! My fav Luby moment would have to have been the hot chocolate scene, although I just LOVED it when Luka was pulling Abby away to get the needle - when did an injection get so sexy??

I just loved that episode GV was just so... *sigh* It was really fun to watch. It's great to see how much Luka has changed in the last times, he is a great ER chief and handled the situation with Abby perfectly. Was I the only who wondered whatthe heck Ray was watching before Neela came home? I sure would like to know One of me favorite dialog was between Abby and Neela: A: So? N: I just made Ray happy A: You're such a giver! Hmm do you want to have dinner with me tonight? N: No... I can't tonight. A: Too bad. I was looking forward to sharing a meal with somebody who doesn't calculate every ounce of protein I eat. N: Aah! Is Luka being a little overprotective? A: Oh he just doesn't understand that sometimes the baby wants a hot fudge sundae at night. And of course the mandatory Abby/Luka banter A: You need to work on your injection technic L: Come on... it didn't hurt

It was awesome! I'm glad it wasn't as dramatic as I though it would be, I was scared that it would be a nerve-wrecking episode for Abby, but they based it all around friendships. I loved Kerry in this episode and I hope she comes back more often after her surgery. It was great when she asked Abby to be Henry's guardian if something would happen to her, they've become really close friends. The Luby scenes were short, but so adorable. I loved it when Luka pulled Abby away for her shot, I can only imagine what happened after I hope they keep worrying together!

Was I the only who wondered whatthe heck Ray was watching before Neela came home? I sure would like to know Well I think the song that we heard before Neela opened the door is "Unchained Melody" from the movie "Ghost", with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, so I guess it's the movie he was watching. You know what scene he was watching now

This is the same episode analysis that I posted at the ERHQ:
I STILL think that the editors for the promos should be shot. I don't like the way they mushed things that were totally out of context together.
Sam- I don't want her to go! That patient, however generous and nice, seems a little creepy. But that's just me.
Neela- I wonder how many times they had to reshoot the "Cookie Confessional". I was laughing so hard that I almost wet myself. But I like how she stood up for herself at the spousal support group. She doesn't have to agree with what Michael's fighting for to support him.
Pratt- I'm waiting for him to get offed. They wouldn't have set him up for a license revokation if they didn't want to get rid of him or something.
Luby- I loved this episode for them! Did Abby tell Luka about the baby kicking? I can't remember. I also loved the whole hot chocolate scene. That was priceless.
Abby- She isn't as much of a badass anymore, and I like it about her. Did anyone else notice the beginnings of a baby bump during this episode? She was kinda "puffy".
Luka- This episode was a character thing, really. The whole "March Stupid" thing I'll be laughing at for weeks. I definitely thought he was hot when he blew up at Pratt.
Kerry- It was nice to see her portrayed as an actual human being for once. I will KILL TPTB if they kill her off and leave Abby and Luka saddled with Henry. I was actually starting to like Weaver again, too.
Abby and Kerry- I thought the scene with the sonogram and the scene about Henry were touching. Abby and Kerry are a lot alike, and it was very nice to see them talking more as friends than as doctors.
Frank- Him and that BIOHAZARD sticker...I loved it! He's so terrible! And his announcement about the ill-parked SUV was priceless. Frank is the comic relief of the show, that's for sure.
Sooo...with all of the characters that seem to have impending leaves of absence (Sam, Pratt, Kerry), how many do you think TPTB can get away with offing in one episode?

I don't think that there is anyway TPTB could or will kill off Kerry or have her leave. She is the heart of the ER IMO, they can't get rid of her! I love her!!!!

I love Kerry too... She sure has her moment! Isn't it time she got a woman? Will she have a lovelife in Season 13? It's been a few years since Sandy died... That woman needs to be loved up
