Daisy @ AEB:
Oh no darlings, we have a man who crashed his truck and hurt a himself, his wife and another family and now he feels so very bad about it and Sam feels bad for him. This is ER, I think we'll all be feeling bad before the episode is over, don't you?
Poor Sam, she also feels bad about sending Alex away to a boarding school for troubled teenagers, now that he won't answer her e.mails or call her.
Abby just feels bad that Morris ordered her out of a trauma because there were too many doctors there and not enough looking after the other patients in the ER. Luka's in a meeting, so looks like you don't get to do what you want this time, Abby.
Luka and Abby are still planning their wedding and Morris - yes Morris - has offered his advice to go somewhere exotic. Abby likes it and says maybe a beach or the mountains or - brace yourselves - Croatia. Yes, Abby suggests they go get married in Croatia.
Well, Neela and Ray are a leeetle awkward when they both show up in the break room to get coffee. Especially when he says "Honey?". Good thing she had the bear jar of honey he wanted for his tea in her hand at the time and didn't misunderstand at all what he was saying.
There's a new med student, nerdy but nice Larry. He graduated law school and decided corporate law wasn't exciting enough for him and turned around and went to med school instead. Gates is a dawg, I tell you, making Larry write up all his charts for the day because his blue tooth isn't working and he can't dictate notes as usual. He even lets Larry do a procedure a med student shouldn't do quite yet and I can't think that's a good thing.
Dubenko's new prize student freezes up in a trauma while he's trying to talk her through a procedure. Neela sees the whole thing from the next room. Unfortunately dears, so does the patient's husband who's the truck driver who jack-knifed and they have to watch her die. :sniff: I warned you we'd all be sad because of this storyline.
The trucker crashed because he couldn't read the sign for his exit. Because he can't read. At all. His wife always rode with him and read all the maps and told him when to make his turns, but she was tired and fell asleep and he didn't wake her up and made a wrong turn. Don't worry Dr. Gates, I'm sure there's no anvil or anything here at all.
Luka is surprised Abby would want to go away to get married because none of their coworkers could be there, she just looks at Morris and Hope playing a drinking game.... I think maybe no coworkers is the real appeal for Abby.
Or maybe it's just because she has some sort of nasty squabble going on with Hope. The little birds aren't saying over what, but Abby deliberately bumps into her to make her drop a binder and then gives her dirty looks, and Hope just ignores her and offers to help Sam out with a problem, as if that's going to bug Abby. Could it get any more middle school, darlings?

There's a lot of glancing between Ray and Neela in this one, as well.
