the only thing i don't like is that Luka is used here only for Abby's storyline...I mean...not "don't like" but he's appearances are tied to her...as in he wouldn't be interesting any other way. but...any sort of interaction between them is good in my book I think it's inevitable that his material would be linked almost entirely to hers. What I hate with a passion is that they seem to be making Luka look like a complete moron.

It reminds me of season 8, when HOLY CARTER asked Luka if he " liked his women vulnerable " ...( not sure about the quote) , as though Luka was too thick to understand anything about Abby's personality and sensitivity , but THANK GOD, HE, SAVIOUR OF MANKIND, was there to play the role of the sensitive guy, helpful and so understanding! I hate when LUKA seems so primary and blind...

I think as usual people are making a big deal over nothing, shouldn't we wait to first be on screen to than get all worked p?

And if he is involved in anyway I think I'm going to throw up. Has anyone heard when Noah is coming back?

Well, that would rather undermine the "speculation" element of this thread, wouldn't it? And an experienced doctor offering a known alcoholic a beer isn't "nothing" - it's absurd.

Oh yeah ... she will only get sober for a man who did not accept or love her for what she is! Ugh.
As for Luka offering Abby a beer, though I don't agree that it's a good choice, I'm holding out for him doing it to make her aware that he knows something is going on or alternatively, simply a typo. Talk about two different realms (LOL)!

I think we're supposed to wonder if she slept w/ him, but she did wake up in her clothes in another room. No we don't know that Abby woke up dressed and in another room. the scene opens mid-action with Abby in a panic and pulling on her shoes.

I would assume she was in her clothes if she was pullling on her shoes. Would that assumption be incorrect on my part? I understood this to be speculation. I guess I'm just hoping that she's dressed unlike when she woke up in Luka's bedroom in a towel.

She is in her clothes and pulling on her shoes while checking her cell phone. I have to say I hate how dark tptb are taking this especially right before the holidays. Is this really what America is going to be in the mood for? I hope they re-think having Luka offer her a beer. I think we can get the idea Luka and Abby need to deal with her alcoholism without taking it to that level. If Goran hated saying not that pretty/not that special, he should really hate this.

We know she's in another room as Moretti comes to the door. But no, we don't know if she wakes up dressed or not, whether there is another scene we're missing where we see her actually wake up, etc.
I don't like the darkness either - I think a couple of episodes of relapse might have been sufficient, but they seem to want to show Abby spiralling out of control.

I don't think so. I know I'm not. I was hoping for a happy Kovac Christmas. Hopefully, we'll get it. I guess they want Abby (and the rest of us) to really wonder if she had gone that far. With the set up of Moretti going out of town and Abby not being able to speak w/ him, I'm pretty sure she didn't sleep w/ him, but the idea of not knowing is what may propel her to getting the help she needs.

It can become pretty bad quite fast when an alcoholic relapses, even if they had prior recovery. What sometimes prevents an alcoholic with recovery who's relapsed into immediately returning to their program is the guilt, fear and shame.

I think we're all aware of the fact that it's fiction, and IMO, I don't think anyone is particularly worked up, simply not thrilled with this particular storyline. I, for one, am not at all thrilled by it.
