ER Writer Mills Dies Emmy-winning television writer DAVID MILLS, who worked on hit U.S. series ER and THE WIRE, has died. Mills, who was born in 1961, passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday night (30 Mar 10), according to HBO network spokesman Diego Aldana. The cause of death had not been released as WENN went to press. Mills' additional TV credits include writing for Homicide: Life on the Street and The Corner, for which he won Emmys in 2000 for Outstanding Miniseries and Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries or a Movie.
