Just thought I'd delurk for a bit ... The brouhaha over at the IMDB board was actually only one person that was using three different names, all registered on the same day. Most likely one of the ER Forums usual suspects. That much bitterness just isn't healthy, IMO. For the record, Maura was never arrested for breaking and entering. I don't know where to find the article offhand, but it was a funny story she told about when she was in college. She and a few girlfriends had a favorite bakery in NYC, but it was closed. They noticed that the back door was wide open (no breaking involved), so they went inside to swipe a few cookies. Apparently, the alarm went off, but the owner didn't press charges. Personally, I thought the story was hilarious. Obviously, the person over at IMDB is missing a sense of humor.

Maura-t.net NY Post - November - Sweet and Lowdown
"ER" star Maura Tierney's sweet tooth got her into a sticky situation at Magnolia Bakery. The actress and three pals snuck into the storage area beneath the Bleecker Street bakery around 2 a.m. Sunday and swiped a bag of bittersweet chocolate from a walk-in refrigerator. When a Magnolia night manager spotted them, Tierney and her band of bakery burglars dropped their booty on the stairs and fled. "I thought we were being robbed," says the Magnolia staffer, who asked that we not use her name. "I went outside and asked what they were doing, but they just kind of rolled their eyes at me like it was a big joke." The staffer, who recognized Tierney as a regular Magnolia customer, called police after the break-in but declined to press charges. Tierney's spokesman tried to put a less sinister spin on the Winona Ryder-like sweet-snatching. "It was all in fun," he told us. "She denies stealing any chocolate. If she would have stolen anything it would have been cupcakes. The back door was open. They just went downstairs to check it out."

Good NIGHT..... on the lam for cookies? Sheesh. Didn't we all do crazy harmless stuff at some point??? Oops...for those of you on your way to college, just look at all the 'fun' you are in for. But be careful....if you plan to be 'famous', people are going to make an issue out of EVERYthing. I wonder how many parking tickets she has had? Sigh.

Ok I read wrong, it was in LA, not NY as she was refering to NY... That Maura was once arrested for jaywalking? Living in New York, Maura says that, "You cross the street whenever you wanna cross the street, it's no big deal." Unfortunately, it's not the same in Los Angeles. Maura received a considerable ammount of tickets for jaywalking, but never payed them because she thought it was silly. When she was picked up for having beads on the back window of her car, the cop arrested her for never paying those tickets. Maura was in jail for a couple of hours until her grandmother bailed her out.
