She was in LA when she got the ticket for jaywalking. We've just spent the last page discussing about Maura getting a ticket for jaywalking in LA!

I jaywalk in small streets, on avenues I rather wait for the traffic light to change and use the crosswalk. But Buenos Aires is a big city, I mean almost 3 million people live here... either way, loads of people die everyday because they don't respect traffic lights and cross were ever they want. In fact there was an accident on Monday night, right in the intersection of my building. Two streets converge with my own so it's like a triangle... It was kind of bad, thankfully no one got hurt but I've seen a car flip and it ain't pretty! We need a traffic light there and soon!

Ok I read wrong, it was in LA, not NY as she was refering to NY... That Maura was once arrested for jaywalking? Living in New York, Maura says that, "You cross the street whenever you wanna cross the street, it's no big deal." Unfortunately, it's not the same in Los Angeles. Maura received a considerable ammount of tickets for jaywalking, but never payed them because she thought it was silly. The city where I live is the second big city of France. I think the statemen would be able to be very happy if it could do like in California! A fine as soon as you cross the street when you want! Cash!! € € € € €!!! Yes, it's dangerous... but here in Lyon, the traffic lights for the pedestrians never works! So if you don't cross the street... you'll never cross it. Personally, I think (here, i don't know in your country or in USA) it's Drivers who are rash and crazy.

it was a while since i was here .. i am waiting (still) for someone to tell if they really have split .. i bet they have .. but still ... It's official. She has filed for divorce. I was watching a tape of her appearance on The View while she was doing 'Some Girl(s)'. Her comment about wanting to go back and just see old friends to see why she 'stuck with that person so long' really made me wonder....since we now know they were separated at that point. Hmmm.

Maura's also not wearing her wedding ring on 'The View' and we all know that she always wore it, even when she was on ER!

Hehehe, it's funny...how different countries have different rules...i live in Lima city (Peru) and people here, are totally crazy. You can Jaywalk... if you wanna get killed... cars never stop, no matter what happens, even if you look both ways before crossing a street, you must run as fast as you can, before a car runs over you...Maura jaywalking a street in Lima, that would be a funny thing to see...
I live in Lima city too, and occasionally I had the chance to drive in here and believe me, this city is one of the most crazy in the world for drivers and for people who crosses the street. And the worst area for doing both things is downtown Lima, even if in the last years it seems to be improvements, it's always a scary thing to do. There are cars, minibuses, vans, and all the vehicles you could imagine driving everyone's crazy, and people yell at each other from drivers to pedestrians and vice versa, it's just a mess the traffic in there.
About Jaywalking, I do it all the time when I am alone or with other adults but when I am with my 10 year old daughter I used the crosswalks to teach her good. I live in an high level traffic avenue and my daughter still doesn't cross it cause it's too dangerous.
I know it is out of topic but I would love to meet other members from Lima-PERU who loves ER and Maura Tierney as much as I do, if you are a fanatic and are willing to have a meeting with other fans please contact me at viviclooney@yahoo.com my name is Viviana Soto, maybe we could arrange for a brunch meeting with many fans to talk about our favorite subject.I agree with Rory Poppins, it would be a fun thing to watch Maura jaywalking in the middle of downtown Lima, I am sure men wouldn't mind seeing her doing that, they will also encourage her to keep doing it telling her how pretty she is .
