Abby looked out of the window and saw Luka walking along the sidewalk. She drew the curtains and hurried downstairs. She closed the door of Den's room and walked answer the door. As Luka put his hand onto the doorbell, Abby opened the door.
"Hi, i saw you." Abby answered when she saw Luka's amazed look. She leaded him into the livingroom and they sat onto the couch. Neither of them didn't know from where to start but finally Abby opened her mouth.
"Before you will say anything, i want to tell you an important thing."
"I know that, so go for it. It can't be nothing horrible."
"I don't know how you will react."
"Oh my God Abby! Just tell it." Luka couldn't keep his voice low. Abby's gaze wandered along the walls. Luka noticed her difficult situation and tried to comfort her.
"You don't have to tell it now."
"No, I have to tell it now, I can't keep it as a secret anymore."
"Okay." Luka put his hand onto the backrest and just waited. Abby sighed as she made lace a bottom of her shirt.
"I have a son." She finally snapped out. She turned her head to look at Luka's reaction. On his face kept changing amazement, gladness and then simple shock.
"You have a son?"
"Yes, he's 4 years old."
"But..Why didn't you tell me about so important thing?"
"I..I was a little terrified I guess. I didn't know how you would react."
Abby's voice was like a whisper now and Luka had to strain to hear her. He seemed to clear his head. Luka could expect whatever but not that Abby has a son.
"Please, don't be mad at me. I really wanted to tell you but I didn't know how." Abby said raising her gaze into Luka's eyes. Tears slowly started to build up into her eyes and she held them back. "Really."
Luka didn't know what to say and do. He could understand her but it was still weighted against him. As the first shock vanished, he started to see things a little clearer. It wasn't even so dreaded, actually Luka liked an idea where Abby has a son. When he wanted to say it to her, Abby started to talk.
"I want you to stay, I don't want to lose you." Abby whispered. Luka was amazed of her words and the fact is that Abby seemed to be amazed, too, she flapped her eyes. Luka was glad of her words, she proved that she cares about him. Luka couldn't be more glad as he pulled her close to him.
"It's okay. I'm not going anywhere." He said gently rocking her slowly.
"I was so scared, Luka. I thought you won't understand why I didn't tell you."
"I'm not mad at you, Abby. You have nothing to worry about." They lied in silence just listening each other's heartbeats.
"What's his name?"
"Whose?"
"Your son."
"Dennis." Dennis. Luka liked that name.
"Look, i don't want to tell you about Richard, about our relationship and what happened between us. I'm not ready now but maybe in the future i will do that."
"It's okay with me. Take your time, we don't have to hurry anywhere. We're starting to know each other now better and better and your attendance is enough for me." Luka told. Abby pulled a little back and brush her hair of her forehead.
"Really?"
"Really." Luka said smiling.
"Thank you, i really appreciate that." She said putting her fingers through Luka's, smiling.
