So, this is my new fic (i'm still writing my other fic so don't forget about it! This takes place during season 7 when Abby started her ER rotation.
Abby never had her abortion, she has almost a 4 years old son, Dennis, with Richard. Richard died in the car accident when Dennis was born so now they live together.

"Thank you so much for babysitting him, i don't know what else i can do."
"Anytime dear." Mrs. Temple, a middle-aged woman and Abby's neighbour, said and smiled at her. Abby sighed of a release as she hunkered down beside Dennis. He was holding Abby's hand and looking down at his shoes. Abby knew he was sad, he spent a most of time with her before Abby got a job and now he didn't want to let her go. Abby seized him by the chin and caught his eye.
"Mommy must go now. I will come for you later, okay?" She said looking tightly in his eyes.
"I don't want you to go." He muttered.
"I know that but it's my first day at work. Don't worry, i will come back."
"Okay." He said after a moment.
"Okay." Abby smiled ruffling his brown curls. She kissed his head before she picked herself up. "Be good boy for Mrs. Temple."
"I will." Dennis said already smiling. He took his backpack from the ground and ran inside the house.
"Thanks again, bye." Abby said over her shoulder walking to the car.
"Bye, and good luck!" Mrs. Temple sang out and closed the door. Abby stopped momentarily and heard a laugh coming from inside. She smiled a little and continued her walking. Now she was sure Dennis will be fine and could concertrate on her first day at the ER. She took a deep breath.
"Okay, here it goes." She didn't know yet where she was stepping in.
Luka walked along the passage and passed persons by. He walked over to admit and placed his hands on the desk as Chuny walked over him and handed a chart. Luka sighed and took it.
"Can you sign it, please?"
"Sure." Luka wrote his name on the chart and placed it in the dispo pile. He raised his gaze up and saw for his liking a beautiful woman. He watched how she undressed her scarf, her brown hair tossed as she walked past him.
"Whose that?" He asked Chuny. Chuny raised her gaze just in time to see how that woman walked into the lounge.
"I think she's our new med student. Why did you ask?"
"Oh, i'm just curious." Luka lied, he didn't want to tell how things actually are.
"Hey Luka, here's MVA coming in!"
"I'll be there in a minute." Luka shouted and made his way into the lounge. He can't help getting to know her a little better. He entered the room quietly trying to not take notice. The woman didn't notice him, she was lost in thoughts wondering where to put her stuff. Her eye wandered along the lockers and she sighed desperately. Luka sat on the chair and just stared at her.
"You can toss your stuff in that locker. It's free." He finally said. She turned on the double and stared at him in amazement. Luka pointed to a locker that was behind her.
"Oh...thanks." She said uncertainly and turned again. On Luka's lips played a small smile.
"So, you're new here?"
"Yeah, i'm new med student and i think i'm late." She said quickly passing her hand through her hair. She disconnected a buckle from her hair and they fell neatly on her shoulders. Luka felt desire to touch them but he contained himself.
"Oh, then i have to tell you a couple of things. First, nobody don't listen to you, never. And second, you have to be careful of Dr. Weaver, you will never know what she will figure out." Luka said grinning.
"Thanks for the advice, i'll keep that in my mind." She snapped. Luka got up and walked over to her and noticed that she has a big, brown eyes. He couldn't take his eyes off her but finally he could hold out his hand.
"Luka Kovac." She looked at his hand and then squeezed it, her eyes were smiling. Luka liked a warmth of her hand.
"Abby Lockhart."
