I think everyone is trying to figure out why Sam was so mad at Abby. I mean I understand if she becomes upset but the look on her face was weird to say the least. I liked how Abby told everyone the truth knowing that they may judge her which in turn goes to show that she is turning her life around.

Abby has always been independent....to a fault. Trusting Luka is the first chink that we have seen in that armor. She was learning to depend on him thoroughly all through her pregnancy....the child birth...and NICU era. Letting go and becoming a marital unit of support was something new to her....and she was loving it. Luka knew that. Five days after their wedding he is gone?? And for six months? Accessible only by cell phone at best...and then he is not there for her when something traumatic happens to Joe? He was dealing with his dad...surrounded by family. She was alone with a child. He knew that as well. Crappy PTB think that we could actually buy this story line?? Only Maura's outstanding acting ability could make it actually stand. I am still in awe of her for being able to make me care so much....and feel so heartbroken. Seems like you are the only one who gets that. And I agree, he got her to trust him, then he basically made her regret giving him that trust. Lyn, you couldn't have explained it better. Stupid Luka, stupid Abby; stupid PTB.

Well good grief, she upped the ante in the betrayal of trust stakes. Still not getting it, but hey ho.

I'm torn between the amazing theme this episode had and the constant irritation I had whenever Harold was on screen. Five minutes into the epi and there he was...showering!!!! And Morris's butt....COME ON!!! Why did they have to ruin a show with so much subtext?!? That guy is enough to actually make me quit.
What's up with Tony's eyes, anyway? He has them only half open all the time.
And...am I seeing things or the conversation he had with the Chaplain could be about Luka and Abby as well? And the story with the old lady who was believing the unseen as well?
Did anyone catch Abby telling Pratt that she and Luka talk everyday or did they cut that one? I'm glad she at least told Neela she misses him/them.
Go Sam! I never liked her as much as I did in this episode!
And one more thing that annoys me...why is Abby handling all or most cases? Damn you, TPTB and the stupid writer's strike!!!
*I'm in my happy place, I'm in my happy place....Abby went to Croatia...I'm in my happy place*
Ugh!!!
ETA: Sam was mad because she and Abby clashed at work various times. Her "where you drinking at work?" explained Abby's actions at the hospital during these past few episodes. She's not only mad at Abby, but at every other drunk and addict. She treated the woman saved by her neighbor exactly the same. And even if Abby was her friend, in Sam's eyes she was just like any other drunk.

OMG i thought i was never going to download this episode, it took forever this week, i mean forever However, i thought it was well worth the wait. I know am in the minority again?! but i enjoyed it. I thought the scenes with Neela were funny, i always love how the writers manage to put comical moments in amongst all the sadness. It always brings a smile to me. But my favorite scene were with Abby. I loved her relationship between her and the little girl . When the girl she sang and Abby started to cry, it was so emotional. I really felt for her and shame on the ER for thinking she and Luka were getting a divorce!..... such nasty words!! I just wish she wasn't leaving again!! Her and Luka storyline is really starting to worry me....especially the ending, my stomach sank a little, when she stop on the steps and look back on the ER, it gave me the impression that Abby wasn't coming back? it felt she was saying goodbye! for me it felt like it was Maura exist from the show? i know it isn't but....i just think i want to know whats going on.....? and why was Sam so concerned that Abby had been drinking at work? i didn't understand why she look angry? Edit. i read this reply on other board, someone else who also thought that it felt like Abby was saying goodbye and i think it works for me.. Abbylukaaddit wrote: I had the sad understanding that in case the strike/ and whatever other powers affects ER and they need to cancel early and have no MT and GV or whatever they were telling us LUBY will be fine ( sight unseen)

This episode was so-so, i kinda liked it. The best scenes were when that little girl sang and Abby cried, and the Neela/Abby scene in the end. Im a little confused about why Sam reacted that way when Abby confessed, it was weird I also got the feeling that this maybe is Mauras last episode, or that Abby is leaving County, something like that, but from what i heard Maura still have 3 episodes right? Stupid stupid stupid strike Sorry that i havent posted the link yet, but the net is down here were i live, so i am lucky i can even be online, so the upload is 20kb/s so i have to restart everything i hope it gets faster Edit: I tried uploading it again and its working 160kb/s Kizzy i think what abbylukaaddict wrote sounds like it can be true... since they have known about the strike for awhile, maybe they changed the scripts before the strike to make it look like that.

Glad Abby is back and I think they did a pretty good job with her storyline, especially the parallel w/ the little girl. Loved how she told her foster mother that this disease was manageable and how appropo for that little girl to sign "Beautiful". Also like how she owned up to her disease to her collegues, though I would have loved to smack Sam right in the face. She's a murderer, so I really don't think she should be annoyed at anyone who may have made a mistake. At least Abby owned up to what she did. I'm also very happy that there doesn't appear to be Luby angst at this point ... Abby came out of rehab and is going directly to see her husband and child, who she misses like crazy. I am surprised that I'm starting to like Gates; that is, until the promo, where they may hook him up w/ Sam. Sam has been my least favorite character for a long time, but I guess TPTB want to focus on the characters we have since, IMO, we're leaning toward the end and a happy resolution for my favorite couple. Not much more to do w/ anyone else there, I suppose. I do hope we see some satisfactory resolution for the rest of the cast. I really do like Pratt and Morris.
