Hello Girls, Thanks for posting those great pictures..she looks great!! I got very emotional when she said: Cancer doesn't care that it just took your father. I could be mistaken but i thought i could see the pain in her eyes... Tears were rolling down my face But i'm very happy she's okay now and the pictures show a happy Maura!!

So guys, thanks for all the pictures and video Martine! She is such a strong person. That line but have bee so hard for her to say! Did we see her again after this? Yes, a few more times when she was in the phone panel. God I'm tired, had to get up at 9AM this morning. I'll need a nap this afternoon ;D Edit: God I just saw how bad the AVI clip is. Better just use the first link I posted. I'll try to make a new one today.

Thanks to all of you who posted pics and the video links. You all are the best. I called and made a donation in memory of my Mother who died in 1996 of lung cancer. I didn't get a celebrity, just a regular phone person. I didn't even ask for a celebrity, I just wanted to make the donation. I was in tears through most of the show. They started when Maura came out and spoke of her father. I agree that she looked a bit angry, I can understand that, I'm still sort of angry 14 years after my Moms death. Not at her, at her disease. I still miss her so much. Now on to Jimmy Kimmel and the premire of TWT.

Michael Douglas Opens Stand Up to Cancer With Stern MessageSeptember 11, 2010 07:24:30 GMT 'Cancer doesn't care how many Oscars you've won or how many tough guys you've played,' Michael Douglas told viewers on the TV special. Brave Michael Douglas kicked Friday night's September 10 Stand Up to Cancer TV special off on a poignant note, urging fans to raise cash for research into the disease he's battling - and sign up for regular health checks. The actor, who was recently diagnosed with stage four throat cancer, was among the celebrities touched by the disease, who opened the U.S. telethon with stern messages. Appearing on a huge screen over the stage at Sony Studios in Culver City, California - where the awareness and fundraising event was held live - Douglas said, "Cancer doesn't care how many Oscars you've won or how many tough guys you've played." He was joined by Kathy Bates, who stated, "Cancer doesn't care how well you sling a sledgehammer," referring to her gruesome role in Misery, and actress Maura Tierney, who is battling breast cancer." The former "E.R." star left TV viewers with a lot to think about as she strolled onstage and stated, "Cancer doesn't care that it just took your father." And cancer survivors Michael C. Hall and Christina Applegate wrapped up the introduction to the telethon, urging fans to help kill cancer by phoning into the show and donating cash to cancer research www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/w0006217.html

Thanks for all the news! Maura's statement, "Cancer doesn't care that it just took your father", was the most impactful of everything I've seen so far from the event. It's so true, as I remember my cousins had to deal with both their parents having cancer at the same time and one of their parents dying while the other was still in treatment. Cancer truly doesn't care.

The necklace she is wearing, am sure that we have seen that before? It's the one she wore to the ER finale party. Thanks to Sookie for the new pic of her with Sally - love seeing them together again!
