Thanks I cant be sure, but it does sound like he is referring to her. Especially when he says, 'the more you know' and his friends replies by saying, what sounded like to me, 'the maura you know' anyway i hope he is!!

The good news is that Maura can now focus totally on getting better and she doesn't have to push herself or stress herself out by worrying about having to get back to work by a certain date. And she can stay in NYC, which we know she loves so much, and be close to her family. So it's bad news for the show, but I think those are positives for her. And when she does fully recover and goes back to work again, we'll plan to celebrate like crazy around here.

Actually, I have been kind of holding my breath since reading the bit from the 'Rescue Me' people when they said they would have Maura back 'if her health holds out...and her schedule permits.' I am unbelieveably sad for 'Parenthood'......and worried.

I am unbelieveably sad for 'Parenthood'......and worried. Not only that, maybe it´s nothing (english is not my first language), but I´m kind of unconfortable with this part: "Ms. Tierney and her doctors remain confident that the outcome of her treatment s will be positive," Why not just Ms. Tierney and her doctors are confident that the outcome of her treatment will be positive,..." ? For some reason I don´t like the "remain" word (it´s like at any minute someone will say "despite something"). Also the plural for treatment is making me nervous. Is it overreaction? Please someone tell me I not only make mistakes writting, but also reading and there´s no big deal about that line. Breath Sissa, breath

I looked at that i thought the same as you, but Breast Cancer is a serious illness, so you can't really be sure of the outcome. I hope am making sense with this?

It is concerning and disappointing. It's possible that before the surgery her doctors were hoping she would only need a 4 to 8 week course of radiation treatments, which would have allowed her to be ready for filming in Sept/Oct. If they did the surgery and her lymph nodes were positive, or if it was an unusual or aggressive tumor type, then she may be having to undergo chemotherapy. Chemo is generally a longer course, given for 2 weeks, then off 2 to 4 weeks, then more rounds, depending on the type and stage of the cancer. My sister's breast cancer chemo was on and off for 6 months.
That is why her original statement said "I will not know my exact diagnosis or course of treatment until the surgery is done."
The fact that she was seen in a couple of resturants lately is a good sign, she could just be getting radiation or between chemo treatments. I pray she has a full recovery and will be back to work in the spring.
As I loved the "Kelly" character, I wouldn't mind a longer run on Rescue Me than the 4 episodes Tolan talked about.

Well, seems you mean "you and I are in the same boat"? Damn, so it was just wishful thinking. Get well Maura!!!!!! I´m in serious need of a Nellie Andreeva (from hollywood reporter) changed her article a little bit and added this paragraph: "Tierney had garnered strong notices for her performance in the pilot for "Parenthood," where she played a contemporary version of the character portrayed by Dianne Wiest in the movie."

When I opened my mailbox about an hour ago, my heart nearly stopped beating: about 10 google alerts all about Parenthood. I was actually scared to follow the links. I also need a I totally didn't expect this to happen coz I had the impression things were getting better (the sightings and that Scott Grimes clip). It's sad that we won't see her in Parenthood but I'm more worried about Maura's health. After all that must come first! Get well Maura! I'm thinking of you every day !

Yea, I agree with you guys...I got online last night and had 15 or so Google alerts, all Maura...and all I said was "oh no"...and my mom's like "What's going on?". I didn't even want to look at them. I love Maura so much...I'm continually praying for her and thinking about her all the time. I sent her a card awhile back, I sure hope she got it!

Tara, thanks for that little bit from Erika Christensen. For some reason it's a little bit reassuring, it sounds like she has actually talked to her. Since I doubt there will be any info coming from Maura's people I hope we can get some twitter sightings to ease our concerns that she is doing o.k. She needs to just focus on beating cancer right now.
It's so disappointing to think that we have no idea when we will see her acting again. Even if she can shoot Rescue me in the winter/spring it sounds like those episodes won't air for almost two years. It could be a long time until we see Maura on screen again.

At this point I´m not even thinking about when she´s going to work again.
I´ll be happy just to hear she´s having dinner somewhere or walking around NY looking good. You know, those nice sightings.
When she gets cured she´ll be working asap, I bet.
I'm a bit sad for the people of Parenthood. They´ll have to find someone to replace Maura - which in my mind sounds impossible. And it will be kind of weird for the cast do the pilot again with someone else.

Helen Hunt is being considered/considering 'Parenthood' Hmmm. I have been a fan of hers for a while. As much as I hate the thought of Maura not being in the show, this has possibilities. Seems they would be casting against Maura's type here as HH more esembles Craig T. and other memebers of the cast. Interesting..........
