I'm still a little stuck, I'm not sure were I want to go with this fic. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks! There is some bad language in this update, just so you know.
Abby walked in with a sleeping Joe into the warm coffee shop. She loved coffee shops, they like her thirds homes after her apartment and the hospital. She snuggled Joe closer to her chest and looked around until she saw Luka sitting at a table waiting for her. “ Hey.” she said quietly signaling that Joe was asleep. “ Hey.” He leaned over and gave her a gentle kiss. She sat down and looked around and then looked at him. They both began to get lost in the same memory.
Abby sat in Geometry class looking around the room, she heard the bell ring and she stayed in her seat for a moment. She pondered about that night at the bus stop with the mysterious boy. He had been intriguing, and left with just the same mystery as a car pulled up and a woman stepped looking over at him with sad eyes. Abby snapped back into reality and grabbed her notebooks slowly and stuffed them into her bag. She walked out to her locker and saw that Sage was already there waiting for her. Sage, was as you could say another lost soul, as the school counselor put it. “ Are you going to the party tonight?“ she asked, with a mischievous look in her eyes. “ Probably not, Maggie bailed again, she’s been gone two days and I have to go…” Abby stopped herself, she was about to say home, but this place wasn’t home she sincerely didn’t know where home was. “ take care of Eric.” she finished. “ That’s real f**ked- up. At least I know my grandma won’t bail on me.” she said thoughtfully as she unbraided her hair. It was dyed an exotic planet blue, for the time being. Sage loved to experiment with different hair colors. “ Yeah.” Abby said wearily as she grabbed her sweater out of her locker. “ Well, then I’ll give you a call tonight, see if you guys wanna go out and get some Chinese or something.” “ With Eric?” Abby asked incredulously. “ Sure, as long as he stops ordering for more than we can pay.” “ Okay, I’ll talk to you tonight then.” she said as walked towards the door. “ Sure.” she heard Sage call back.
Abby walked lazily under the bare trees, she looked up at the sun which was now a faint orange. She looked over at the coffee shop on the other side of the street and weighed her options. She really wanted a nice hot cup of coffee, yet she didn’t really have enough money to spend it. She shrugged and jaywalked across the street to the shop. She entered and bumped into directly into someone. “ Sorry.” she heard the man say, but she recognized his voice instantly. “ Hey.” she said. “ Oh, hi.” “ Kind of weird how we keep meeting randomly.” She said to make the awkward silence between them a little less. What do you say to a stranger who isn’t a stranger? “ Yeah, I agree.” “ Are you getting coffee?” “ it’s the only thing that keeps me living.” She looked amused for a second before looking around. “ Do you want to sit down?” she asked, hoping maybe a little too much that he would say yes. “ Uh, sure.” She walked over to the counter before realizing that he had followed her. “ You can chose a table if you want.” she said to him. “Okay.” he blushed slightly before moving to get to a table.
She walked over to where he was sitting, on a huge comfy chair. She loved coffee shops like these. She took the chair opposite to him and smiled. Her chest felt tight as she felt nervous. But it didn’t last long. They made small talk at first, but soon they were laughing and swapping stories. Maybe it was the homey atmosphere in the shop, or maybe truly it was just them. The talk turned a bit more serious and they could both feel it. “ So, are you staying in the U.S?” “ Three months, just until it’s a bit more safe to go back home.” “ Oh.” She said, she would probably be gone in three months too. “ What do you want to do when you get out of high school?” he asked to change the subject, she knew there was something painful behind the reason he was here, not just the “until its safer” version. “Um…maybe, I kind of always wanted to be doctor.” she shrugged, probably a lost cause. He smiled as if he approved her idea, “ Why?” She pondered the question. To lie or not to lie, that is the question. She chose the not to lie, the truth was what it was. “ Well, see when I was younger about nine or so, and my mother would leave or do something stupid I would take my younger brother to this ER that was nearby. It was like a haven to us, since there was this one volunteer that would give us paper and crayons and tell us stories. She was actually a med-student and she would give us snacks and stuff. I also wanted to because…” she hesitated, “ I lost someone close to me, and I guess I thought that if I had been a doctor I could have been able to save them. Pretty cheesy and stupid reason, huh?” “ No not all.”
She looked up at him and their gazes remained locked for a moment, just a moment, but it was strong enough to affect them both. She looked at the clock and realized that Eric would probably still be at school waiting. “ I have to go, but I hope I’ll see you around again.” she said to him as they both stood. “ Um, well I can meet you here on Friday. If you can.” he stammered through the sentence. “ Okay. I’ll see you on Friday.” She smiled at him and walked out of the coffee shop.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in...like... forever, but my life is very dramatic. I hope people will still read this fic This is just an intro to a new chapter . Tell me if you'll still want to read it. Abby twirled with her arms up in the air as the soft, steady breeze caressed her skin like a loving companion. It was stupid actually for a girl her age to do such a thing. But twirling gave her a high and made her pulse go just as fast as if she was running a mile. She was momentarily lost in the moment, and all she could think about was staying in that moment forever, twirling with her eyes closed blocking out all the sights of the world and just feeling it instead. She was at a park that was deserted, aside from the animals that were probably terrified by this crazy girl.It was only five thirty yet the sky was as dark as midnight, yet another treat autumn brought with it. She loved the dark, loved walking around the city at night observing the neon signs and lovers walking hand in hand. Something about the shadows lulled her, pulled her into a trance which only lightness could bring her out of. She continued to twirl unaware that someone was watching her just as intranced by her as she was by the night. He looked at her spin as if she was in a dream. It wasn't the kind of cliche thing you'd see in a movie. She was shrouded in darkness and mystery. She was intriguing and yet she seemed oblivious to that.
