I don't think it sounds like a break up either, it think it sounds like Luka finally learns the truth. Why wouldn't he be upset, sad, sorry and stuff to find out what Abby has been doing. She's hurting herself (health and career) by drinking, and hurting their family by hiding it from him.

TV Globo Before TV Guide is not the first time some speculation in a brasilian forum comes out as a spoiler.Oficial Source please¡¡¡. They use words like fractured, dread, agony, fragile in the directions.Fractured it is all said in this. Greets TV Globo my dear is only one of the best television networks in the world. They're sources aren't small TRUST me. news from TV Guide have been followed by TV Globo for a while now, maybe this time around they raced faster to the official source. I wouldn't doubt it. Maybe Globo has only been faster in releasing the news. Globo is NOT a trustworthy source? I think you hit your head somwhere Carito. Injured it more than Joe, for sure. (as a matter of fact all your posts make me sure of that)

That's not really what it says. Allow me - a translator to do tthe job for you: "Know why you won't like it when Abby moves with Luka to Croatia" : Who had their heart tight when Luka returned to Croatia to care for his sick father? Well you can feel relieved. Not only because the doctor will return to Chicago but as we said here before he will be taking Abby and Joe along with him. Sounds like good news, right? Well, it only seems. The annoying part of this story is that both actors leave the show in the middle of the season and will only return at the end of the show. When the show says goodbey once and for all. The episode in which the characters make the decision will be one marked in it's history - number 300. But this number could be better celebrated, don't you thing?!

Still does not say they move there permanently. Says they leave the show mid season and come back for the finale. That's a huge difference.
They take a trip for the funeral and maybe stay to settle the affairs of a dead man and come back to Chicago in time for the series finale.
It makes sense that they leave for a while if this is the end of ER. Now they can work on writing for the other characters. Too bad it's going to ruin any ratings. Who is going to turn on the tv to watch Gates and Frank and Pratt?

How long they will write the trip to be we don't know, maybe the last episodes of ER have a "10 years later" kind of thing.

Hello Lubies,
I mostly lurk with the occasional post...have been reading all of the speculation about Abby and Luka breaking up, and Luka being clueless about Abby's drinking/being drunk in front of him. Remember -- we don't yet know how things will play out -- I remember reading a spoiler here last year that Abby and her father would get drunk together -- and that never happened). I also wanted to mention the movie, "When A Man Loves a Woman."
Meg Ryan played an alcoholic and her husband, as played by Andy Garcia, was completely oblivious to his wife's drinking problem (until she went crashing through a shower door). And remember -- Luka is known for being a little slow on the uptake with certain things.
TPTB know the audience has a lot invested in this couple and I think we're going to be put through the wringer before getting the happy ending (hell they made us wait seven years for them to get back together!)
Just my two cents for what it's worth!

A ten years later thing would be neat to see where they all end up. My excuse, four year old screaming in my ears and I read it fast! Sorry! Small mistake. Still it's Lubby exist! But we know Luka and Abby don't break up. It's been said in interviews they get a happy ending. If the show writers said that, they aren't going to do something else and look bad in front of everyone.
Luka and Abby were supposed to have a hard time like they said in the last blog and then it gets better. I think this episode is where it is supposed to start getting better now that the truth is out there.

I think that Luka has known all along that Abby has been drinking and hiding it ... thus the remark about hiding from him forever. IMO, Luka waited for her to want to talk about it and when she did speak to him, they both realized the mistakes they made, but know that they will get through. This is what their marriage is made of ... they will love each other and persevere. I just love the last spoiler ... hee!
